XboxEra Community Hangout |OT3| Setting Low Expectations

I still find partnership strategy risky because talent can easily get scooped or other publishers throw money at them to get acquired. We’ll see how it plays out, but wouldn’t shock me if any of those games do well and you have the likes of EA, Take Two, and other major publishers offer more than Sony.

Wonder if a first right of refusal could have been written into the contracts

What I saw of the demo didn’t impress me yet to be honest.

Finished it and surprisingly wanted to play more, so… we’ll see. It’s got some charm but is basically clunky BotW without combat or puzzles lol.

I assume they would do that since it seems with this deal Sony is financing alot for these IPs that they will own. It will be interesting to see how this plays out because lets say if that studio with ex cod devs is a hit I believe you’ll see EA and others throw major money at them.

So what was it that made you want more? The exploration?

They really nail the aesthetic, music and sound. The writing is fan fiction tier but there’s a genuinity to it. You don’t get that cool hover bike in the trailers until the end of demo, too, and I wanted to give that a ride and get to explore a bit past the more secluded tutorial area. It’s just a chill experience if you’re in the mood for that.

LG has started to roll out its 4K@120Hz DV update for its C1 and G1.

There is no reason the CX should not be updated as they say nothing is stopping it.

Most core gamers seem to own the CX from the anecdotal evidence I’ve seen. LG isn’t going to piss off a lot of people relative to their overall sales, but it will be the most vocal and vitriolic of their audience if the CX gets passed up. They’d be dumb to hold it back arbitrarily if that is the case.

Haha

It’s settled… They are actually afraid and always try to disagree with whatever Xbox comes with.

So far, Xbox (Phil) was only disagreed with Sony on bringing games to PC later strategy. Which is more about consumer then the platform.

I hope Sony decides to have Jim Ryan do less interviews.Lol.

It reminds me of the Shawn Layden interview about crossplay two years ago. It was a mess.
