I know some ppl will try to normalize this saying it is just business, yeah, it could be, but still it is totally unethical. In all honesty, if true, it is disgusting. Just imagine switching the places and Xbox was doing that, yeah, we all know how it would end up, just look back on how some ppl got outrage over a Dolby fake news exclusive dealā¦

Iāve been thinking & I really donāt understand why people keep mentioning Battlefield 6 as a possible day one Game Pass title.
The only way I can ever see this happening is if EA decides to start putting their big titles on EA Play day one, which seems unrealistic but if that did happen, then Game Pass Ultimate subscribers would have access to the game.
Outside of that scenario, I donāt see it happening. Why would EA put one of their biggest titles on basic Game Pass day one? That doesnāt make sense to me.

It depends I think. The game is going to have micro transactions, so if the multiplayer is not free to play then accepting a cheque from Microsoft instantly opens it up to 10s millions of potential players who can purchase said microtransactions. It can potentially be a win-win for EA because they gain some of the benefits of free to play while minimising the risk of no upfront payment.
Of course if the multiplayer is free to play then I donāt think there is any chance the game will be day one on Game Pass.
Ive put 0 stock into that rumor because it makes no sense financially from EAās perspective. Granted the game doesnt end up like a BFV fiasco from a PR angle this thing is gonna sell double digits.
There is no rumour about Elden Ring being timed exclusive, just people taking Jeff Grubb out of context.

Yeah I just donāt see EA giving up those pre-orders or day one sales.
I donāt see why Xbox would go after the game either. There are other titles that could be more worth the money, from other publishers who arenāt already as invested in Game Pass.
With EA Play being a part of Game Pass Ultimate I think everyone involved will be happy to let Battlefield 6 come to the service in itās own time.

No, there is no rumour about that. People just took Jeffās comment about how another someone may have bought the marketing rights for Elden Ring, and somehow for some, that translated into timed exclusive.

Ah well, trailer should be next Friday I think? Weāll know then if it all of a sudden says PS5 exclusive (for at least six months or whatever trash it is in the FF7R trailer as well). Truly hope not.
But letās remind ourselves that even though platforms have been announced, this doesnāt necessarily mean much. Wasnāt this the case with Rise of the Tomb Raider too?

I donāt know why people think that Sony has anything to do with Elden Ring. Microsoft has the marketing for the game and barring that being voided or Microsoft not having clauses in the contract, itās not going to happen.
Also, I think the Game Fest showing could just be a short trailer and it says āsee moreā at the Xbox showcase. If anything, this is more likely.
Yea your probably right xgs could also do something like this with halo or starfield for example especially starfield bethseda has a history of doing it
