A little over dramatic, you can at least wait for the show to happen, before pass any judgment.
Why wait when you can just post now, preorder that disappointment get a exclusive 2 week early access.
lol
I think some have even preordered the collectors edition!
we do not know.
.
I hope to see more about Pragmata this year. coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC too.
Contact Ms support, and you should be able to provide proof of purchase date and stuff and have them update it to the date you purchased it (so long as it was from a retailer).
This happened to me with my X1X, seller (antonline) hadnāt bothered to update the timing when they sold it to me and so it looked like my warranty was 6 months older than it should have been. I contacted Ms support and they fixed the start date of it. Iām assuming it has something to do with when the store bought it. Theyāre probably supposed to update info to Ms when a particular serial number sells, but donāt bother because that would be extra effort.
all these rumors from insiders It seems this E3 for Xbox Will not be so good
I didnāt define the Insider rumors as my judgment. My impression or predicition yes, but not a definitive statement. Maybe i was over hyped and Itās a my problem.
but he is
MS designed the SoC for Series X in such a way that they can use the perfect chips inside the console and the chips with defects inside the GPU part in a server rack where they can clock them higher (and louder). Nothing is been taken away from you.
Fair enough and sorry for taking youāre comment as a definitive statement, but who knows sometimes insiders are wrong, we just need to wait. For me I just need to see Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 and Starfield and Iāll be happy.
Anyway, less than three weeks, just be patience, in the end I think they will have an excellent showing.
we already know that⦠but they are investing. the results will appear.
I mean, we havent seen the conference yet⦠and you are already disappointed?
I think everyone will be impacted by Covid. this is not exclusive to Xbox. again, we didnt see the conference. we dont know anything.
I did and I can see you donāt post often and not for a while
So I guess maybe you could have not already known how relentlessly beaten in to the ground that sentiment has been here the last month, by like the same half dozen people, mostly
It really started grating on the rest of us. Because itās been every day like clockwork (for me around 10:00 -11:00AM, US Eastern Standard Time). I open up the forum and see 200 new posts from the past hour or two and they are almost all THAT and responses and arguments forming from that
ā¦and brit telling people what topics belong where
you gotta chill @Jimmy_1984 i know itās a stressful day cause of the match tonight but it got nothing to do with Xbox
Itās aboutā¦
Just chill and be patient.
So I was bored and wanted to just check out how TLOU2 was fully revealed to compare what MS is doing with their shows.
- TLOU2 was first shown in December 2016 with a cutscene trailer no gameplay
- TLOU2 was shown again in October 2017 with a second trailer which again was a cutscene trailer no gameplay
- TLOU2 was shown again in a trailer at E3 in 2018, again it was a cutscene trailer no gameplay.
- TLOU2 was shown again in September 2019 which seem to have been a mix of gameplay and cutscenes mostly leaning to cutscenes also the announcement of the release date.
- TLOUS 2 was shown again in May 2020 which seem to be a cutscene only trailer no gameplay
- TLOUS 2 was shown again in May 2020 with a 20 minute video about gameplay
- TLOUS 2 was show in an animated commercial on June 3rd
- TLOUS2 showed again June 19th which was mostly just what it seems like cutscene footage only
So in summary
- At least 8 trailers was spanning 2016 > 2020
- There seems to at least 2 trailers out of those 8 that had mix gameplay and a full gameplay showcase
- The time between announcement and release was 1,294 days or 3 years 6 months and 16 days.
- Gameplay isnāt as big of a deal as itās made out to be if itās a proven game or studio
This to me shows that people are ok with games being announced far far away from release, it does seem like for people to be ok with that they need to show the game every year and gameplay doesnāt seem to be important. Now I put this down to Naughty Dog and Sony showing they can deliver games and people trust them to deliver a good game that they donāt need to see gameplay straight away.
This is a luxury Microsoft doesnāt have right now, while they have announced games early if they want to go down the same route as Sony with Naughty Dog they will need to gain the trust of people that they can deliver.
For a quick comparison with Halo Infinite so far
- An announcement trailer of Halo Infinite showing āin engineā scenes was shown in June at E3 2018 no gameplay, release date was supposed the launch of the console
- A second trailer was shown in June at E3 2019 with a āin engineā cinematic trailer no gameplay.
- The third trailer was shown in July at Xboxās E3 replacement show in 2020 this was a gameplay trailer, release date holiday 2020
- Game got a ton of backlash and game was delayed to 2021
This is a stark difference between the two and in my opinion, showcases the different expectations are and I think this is purely down to Xbox not delivering on critically acclaimed games for the last 8+ years. I feel like MS might try following this approach because it seems like it works well, though they do have a lot more expectations set on them whether if thatās rightfully so or not.
This isnāt me saying X is doing better than Y or this is unfair itās me just comparing the two approaches and both can work, just wanted to highlight the difference. If you read this far grats and thanks for taking the time haha. Also this is just me checking the wiki for all the info and youtube trailers so some things could be slightly off and this isnāt some console war BS either.
Hindley at it again DANGEROUS
Agreed.
Also his assumption that the US is the only or even primary market theyāre working on for xCloud is humorous. Itās probably easiest for their engineers to test here since the majority are here, but itās definitely not a US only service, and it would not shock me if the US uses it less overall than some other countries (since people here are often more likely able to afford a console for gaming). Didnāt some of the reported info say that South Koreans in the first rounds of testing used it most? That at least rings true from my study abroad time in college over there, because almost everyone had a good phone and good service.
Yea if Infiniteās reception is very well received they will move the goal post to something else real quick
You know when Microsoft talks about reaching 3 billion gamers? Yeah, they are not talking about reaching them with consoles, but with XCloud so he is indeed incorrect.
Iām not sure about that, the smart thing MS is doing is building up excitement and goodwill with the press that they are probably going to be less harsh on Xbox. Another thing is PC players if the game is good will also be praising it online so the excitement will increase from that too. PC is pretty much the main platform for streaming too so if the game is really good weāre going to see it hit #1 on Twitch and could stay there for a bit, again assuming the game is big. They have Xbox One + PC + Xbox Series X|S and xCloud on mobile, big big net. But yeah console warriors will probably melt trying to crap on the game even though everyone else is having fun.
All this doesnāt take the fact itās free to play also.
Edit: I just reread your post and saw you said incorrect instead of correct which is how I originally read it. Sorry, I missed your point⦠Whoops!
