XboxEra Community Hangout |OT2| Cracking down on shitposting

Honestly I think it’s too soon. This sounds like a feature from teams making its way to gaming, not sure about the text to voice part. Cool either way though.

Edit: the linked article is from last year, which means they were working on that tech before that. Oddly while this is a feature that I think would really be useful at work, to cut down on the need to do as much note-taking in meetings, I think we have it disabled. :unamused: Gotta love large companies that love red tape.

Cyberpunk was supposed to be this, lmao.

For as neat as We Happy Few seems I just cant get into it.

I never finished ME3 and honestly if I didn’t have any games to play I’d buy this. Now…I’m like probably gonna wait for it to come to EA Play/Game Pass. But I’ll definitely watch reviews and video comparisons of this.

Liked the boldness Sony has, last time saw something like that was back on May 2013 when Phil Spencer confirmed Microsoft Studios is developing 15 exclusive game for X1 just for the first year. Definitely this gen will be the best for PlayStation brand!

These only from PlayStation Studios, not counting 3rd party deals which is the most aggressive deals any platform had before. To be honest, I don’t like these type of deals if it’s not helping the dev to make his project real. But Sony has the leading, has the fans, has the social media around the world, has an extraordinary marketing teams! Easily can convince any developer to make an exclusive deals using these features without paying lots of money or maybe not at all. We had Bethesda for example, one of the largest publishers in industry who gave PlayStation 3 Huge exclusives: DeathLoop, GhostWire, Doom VR “reports claimed Starfield also”, does Bethesda need Sony money? Answer: No.

That’s why I’m really worrying about 3rd party deals, cause PlayStation can get any game they want. Xbox should block that.

I have no idea who Justin Davis is but saying that he wouldn’t recommend PS5 until it has more games makes no sense to me. Both consoles are 6 months old and has around 100-150 games since they launched.

Game Pass is great and yeah, there’s like 300 games on there but the vast majority of them are years old and in some cases, decades old. And if he’s going based on just more games, PS Now has 800+ or some shit. Granted, the service sucks but still, if you’re going based on just quantity of games, PS Now has Game Pass beat.

Of course, going based on just quantity, he should just play on PC since it has every game known to man and that’s excluding emulators. Can’t get more games than what’s on PC.

I think his argument is value. So what you get for your money and he thinks Xbox Series X is better in that regard.

I don’t think his argument has anything to do with value because he says he can’t recommend PS5 until it gets more games which technically doesn’t make it more of a value due to spending more money to play those “more games”. Also, why not just say that Xbox is a better value instead of wording it on the quantity of games?

He’s the director of IGN, and you’re playing mental gymnastics to argue his reasons. Game Pass is an entirely unique value proposition that enables no barriers to game new and old games. Also what is this narrative that old games are bad? I haven’t played a ton of games that are old and the fact they’re getting performance boosts make it feel like new games again. Also not everyone has a gaming PC and those that do, Game Pass makes it even a more attractive option. I have a fully decked out 4K PC but I still prefer to game on Series X.

Looks like IGN is going all in on Xbox

I’m not playing mental gymnastics to argue his reasons at all. If he believes/thinks that Game Pass is a better value, then he should just say it’s a better value instead of making it into something else that makes no sense when you actually compare both consoles. His argument has no substance because he’s wrong. Both consoles have pretty much the same amount of games since they launched. If you add in Game Pass, that’s 377 extra games. If you add in PS Now, that’s 800 or whatever the insane amount of games it is so since he said “more games”, he’s wrong. No one would argue which one is better value but why he just doesn’t say that makes no sense to me.

I… what?

Your dreams of a GTA game like you describe is what I’ve been wanting for years. Good thing is, Rockstar are working on their NPC AI tech to make them more smarter, so they’re moving in the right direction.

You’re very concerned about this aren’t you. You’ve just got to make sure that someone praising Xbox & recommending it over PlayStation is proven to be “wrong” don’t you.

SMH. That would be weird considering that I have praised Xbox a lot of times for over a year. I just don’t favor either side like the vast majority seem to do. Both sides are exactly the same but try to act as if they’re not.

Plus it would be weird to bash Xbox after spending $800 to get a Series X bundle from GameStop. Not to mention the fact that there’s no reason for me to do so.

Xbox IS the better value so why not just say that? I have said it plenty of times. I don’t need to say a riddle about it when I can just well, say it straight out.

I can see what they mean. Even if its not AAA first party games, Games Pass has unique variety of games every few weeks and you keep trying games that wouldn’t normally play. As a result you will probably spend lot more time on an Xbox than PS5.

What would be weird, exactly? What I said is what you’re doing.

Why the urge to prove the guy is wrong? If you think Xbox is better value, why do you have a problem with someone recommending Xbox over PlayStation? Why are you arguing that he’s wrong?

Because his argument isn’t about value, it’s about quantity of games which is exactly how he words his tweet. If it’s about value, why say quantity of games when that’s factually incorrect? Why not just say Xbox is the better value due to Game Pass and that’s why he would recommend it over PS5?

I saw this earlier today and thought some people might enjoy it
