They gotta stop doing the “the best games are played here” “the best console ever” stuff and let their content do the talking, also they need to stop saying our best ever E3 every year lol. I personally don’t care but I always see people moan about how they said it was the best thing ever and but the person didn’t like it.
The big thing about Xbox now is they’re going to actually have content, they have much more good studios to make some great and amazing games. Nothing will change until they release their first GOTY, in everyones mouth and get amazing scores (narrative about Xbox wise). I think it’s only a matter of time honestly before 2018 I would’ve said it would never happen but now they have too many studios for it to be impossible to not happen haha.

Yeah, they somehow transformed a glorified dlc in a full-on new game only through marketing, it’s actually incredible and MS should take note.

100%, also Astro’s Playroom, there’s a reason why it was the goal for reviewers early on, Sony knew it would create big hype because the controller was a huge difference between Xbox and the PS. Like someone said eariler we had the reviewers getting excited over blowing into the controller ffs.

I feel comfortable to believe that Xbox will receive it’s first GOTY this year.
I think if Starfield comes out this year it could be high up there.

I agree with you there but I also kinda agree with what was said on the podcast a while ago: so long as Geoff Keighley is running the show, he’s gonna try his damnest to make sure Xbox doesn’t get a nomination. I do however believe that their games will speak for themselves.

Xbox association is enough, lmao, for some strange reasong XGS games with better critic score than most GOTY nominations of last 2-3 years were not even nominated.

At some point if there is a no brainer Xbox exclusive that is best it will look really sus, if he truly does have a bias it will come out when Xbox has a GOTY slam dunk when no other good games has launched. With 23+ studios there’s bound to be a year where Xbox releases a GOTY game where the rest of the games that year are poor. This year could even be it if Starfield is amazing.

Even if Robo Dinos 2 gets delayed to next year, R&C will get more votes than Starfield. If Starfield manages to get a higher metascore R&C will still get more votes…if an amazing game like Ori 2 with such a high metascore didn’t even get nominated in most places/awards then don’t expect much more from Starfield even if we are talking about a big AAA Bethesda game.
We are not seeing any Xbox exclusives getting GOTY awards from the media for at least two or more years even if the games deserve to get these awards IMO. Xbox has a long and hard way until it can have the same chances to win in the Game Awards for example as a Sony game. Personally I don’t give a fuck about GOTY BS awards I just don’t expect it to happen any time soon.

I actually don’t want them to take note. IMO games like Avowed, Fable, Perfect Dark, et al., aren’t going to need to be spun up with carefully crafted marketing campaigns, any person who isn’t intellectually dishonest will play the games, and realize that those games are The shit.

Don’t know about it… Let’s see, still confident that we’ll get a GOTY, but RC get it it’ll obviously be undeserving.
They are also probably counting the ones published by Sony’s publishing brand, since they talked about small games too. And we know Sony isn’t interested anymore in doing them with their own studios.
