Started playing Alien Isolation and good lord is this game slow and have me bored 1 hour in.

probably RE8 gameplay. today several channels on YT posted videos of RE8 Village.
it wasnt that “fun” week that insiders talked…(talking about games, Xbox etc.) 
edit: gameplays other than the demo.
The only cool thing was monday with Xbox Game Pass news and the FPS Boost drop. Insiders have a bad habit of overexaggerating and managing expectations. Thank god they don’t work for official marketing.

I decided to once again start collecting physical discs.
In my country, “original” games only became a thing on the PS360 era. Before that everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) was pirated. You could buy pirated games on literally every newsstand for ~ R$5 (around US$3 at the time, maybe).
So my first real collection was on the PS3, when I coudn’t afford many games – and yet, somehow, I managed to finish the generation with ~30 games. I still have all of them, and while most of them was PES or Guitar Hero, I have some gems like Resistance 2 and Motorstorm.
When I got my PS4 I could afford a bit more games, and at the same time they got cheaper in my country thanks to Sony oficially coming to Brazil. I ended that generation with ~80 games.
Then I finally switched sides, bought an One X, subscribed to Game Pass and went all-digital. Three years later nostalgia happened and I decided to hunt for physical discs again.
Star Wars: Squadrons was my first acquisition. It arrived today and I just bought it because it was at a good price: R$57, which translates to ~US$10. I pre-ordered Resident Evil: Village aswell, and surprisingly it will arive day one – something that didn’t happen when I was a collector years ago.
To avoid becoming overwhelmed by the hundreds of games released during my digital time, I decided to only go after those games with the new box layout – the one that only shows “Xbox” on the spine instead of “Xbox One”.
With all that said, God damn it, installing a game from disc is still as bad as it was years ago.

I’m not a collector but I do buy physical games. Only difference is that I trade in the game once I complete it.

My PS5 sounds like a jet engine when playing physical games but i have been catching up on PS4 games and can’t turn down a good deal.
honestly let’s try to keep the physical gaming market as much as we can. It’s helpful for game preservation

I’m 100% gonna buy this when the update comes out, they deserve the sale for doing such a big update for free and the game itself has always had me interested.

Agreed, I have a massive soft spot for physical games, I think there is something pleasing about a shelf of media. Its like books. we have a massive bookshelf of books, even though Kindle exists and digital is more convenient and sometimes cheaper. Nothing like the look of a large bookcase though.
