Purism is one thing, and will always be a thing (though is infuriating in how often people mistake ‘being a really strong fan of something’ with either ‘thinking they own it’ and/or ‘actually not having a fucking clue but feeling like they do’. “I remember playing Halo 3 and having loads of fun man Halo Infinite sucks” kinda shit, as if Halo 3 wasn’t almost 20 years ago, zeitgeist bollocks was different, as if Halo 3 didn’t have its own flaws and issues etc etc etc).
Worse though is the offhand ‘dead who cares’ kinda shit. The arrogance! The sheer narrow-mindedness! It’s like being back at school when what kind of shoes you wore actually mattered. Who wants to live in that world? GROW THE FUCK UP. JESUS CHRIST.
So they admit that they are after the game pass moneybag…lol
Also about the game not selling on Xbox, I am sure the little kids that play Roblox/Fortnite and the super casuals that only play the latest sport games that still play on freakin’ PS4 will run to buy Absolum.
Just imagine if Xbox had an Ori 3 in the works. That would be once again claiming the throne seeing as Silk Song borrowed the escape gameplay ideas. The Ori developers seem to have bet on the wrong idea.
Pokémon could use so much. The game costs $60 twice and now even has dlc expansion passes. There’s a minimum threshold of quality they aren’t anywhere near .
R.I.P. to the man that created the two best character action games ever and true diamonds for the OG Xbox and 360 software libraries aka Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden II. The Itagaki leading Team Ninja of the OG Xbox and 360 days was one hell of a videogame development powerhouse. May the soil be light that covers you brother.
They (Xbox or the teams behind Ninja Gaiden 4) have to pay their respects in some way with Ninja Gaiden 4 right around the corner. Also man, so much talent is passing away. So much of Xbox’s history: that’s now Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, and Blue Dragon (and I really hope we still one day see entries in the latter too)
