Most of the reviews on Steam or Xbox are pretty useless, if not completely moronic, tbh. (Xbox reviews are separated by region. So maybe it’s just our local morons.)
I constantly check them. It’s useful for these not well covered games and there’s A LOT of them.
In my country, users also tell you if there’s no localization for a particular game or if patches have improved performance. Users also tells you bluntly if it’s worth the money. You don’t find that info anywhere else.
Been wondering myself. Their games don’t usually skip xbox.
Was Bloober team having 2 projects already known? Because I saw a post, but I remember Bloober teams work.
Or is what’s new is the fact one of those projects is Switch 2 exclusive.
Discord got hacked and this is the first I have heard.
Minecraft 2 is on like DK
So looked or talked with 3 people out of 300+ people currently there or 1000+ people who were there at some point in time. That’s the issue with stories like this. It is a very warped and limited perspective of the overall whole.
I was made aware of this game when Spotify recommended the Mick Gordon song. Was really sad when I learned it’s not on Xbox. It looks like Towerborne, so hopefully that changes (I’m having fun with Towerborne)
I caved and bought it on Switch 2. Very early in the game and I think it’s good. Roguelite elements makes you want to play more, as you unlock stuff in your base camp after each run. But it’s a simple beat them all at the core. You have 2 attacks + magic attack and a dodge. 2 players only coop, which is a choice, but it means you can still manage solo. I really dig the art. The simple nature of the game makes it really addictive, weirdly enough.
Question: Has many new games that release or are about to on xbox gotten the play anywhere mark on them in recent times?
Cause am have yet to fully pull the trigger on preordering monster hunter stories for xbox quite yet until there is a possibility of it being part of play anywhere.
has thjis happened to other games as well like way before release?
I think lately they haven’t been doing that, instead they just have a Consoles and PC listing on the store page, when we go down into the details section on the bottom right.
Checkout the Scott Pilgrim and Little Rocket Lab store pages, Little Rocket Lab list PC while Scott Pilgrim doesn’t.
Just saw chrono script is steam and ps only. Not Xbox. That’s disappointing but at least I can still play on ally though steam Which I think is gonna be the deal for a lot of Xbox games
I’d say it’s unlikely. They deliberately put Monster Hunter stories BEFORE the “everything is Xbox Play Anywhere” section in the TGS show and the store page only lists Xbox One and Series for the collection. I can see why you’re considering it though that pre-order sales price is sexy.
Since there’s no PC Xbox store version you might get lucky and one day they add an XPA version, but there’s no guarantees there. I wouldn’t plunge if that’s make or break (XPA).
Also the problem is that this is capcom and unless its a brand new ip or something along those lines it tends not do get play anywhere unless the series is called ace attorney.
To i want them to embrance play anywhere? Yes. Do i think after monster hunter rise that they should have done the next mosnter hunter games or anything around it as play anywhere going forward? Absolutely.
I’m guessing Xbox around the same time, or is that 2026 rumor still around?
I feel like a plan is still a maybe, especially in the business world.
None of this stuff is conclusive, but the rumors I’ve seen say 2027 with mostly hopium saying 2026 (like my own). I also remember it being thrown out that 2026 is the Xbox desktop PC OEM and 2027 is the full new first party console.
There’s a lot of games getting Play Any Where recently like Robocop and Hogwarts. I do think the success of the Xbox Ally or the Xbox Full screen experience is necessary to push Play Any Where adoption. I’m sure we will see more games at the Xbox Asia Gamescom get XPA optimization. No doubt when the Xbox ally launches on the 16th the Xbox hype will be once again in full swing, and we may get new publishers adopting XPA.
The 2026 rumor is for an Xbox branded PC much like the Xbox Ally. Nextgen is I believe set for 2027/28.
