Love seeing the most predictably braindead takes from the media on the Ally (clearly unaware that it’s going to be one the cheapest Z2E handhelds, ironically) - “more expensive than a console”…
These are probably the same technical luddites that think the Switch 2 is a ‘good price’ and it has a ‘great LCD for LCD’ whilst not realizing that the Switch 2 is a quarter of the technical capabilities of the Ally.
But we’re in the dumbest timeline and the dumbest voices get amplified and believed as truth, so
Some of the takes are so disingenuous. PC Gamer (i know!) making out like the basic steamdeck is more powerful than the ally and that the only realy upgrade for the x is the storage.
Cant wait to get my x and no ones gonna convince me that it wont be worth it.
But there are still people out there that think the media is a beacon of truth and some neutral arbiter… in 2025, after everything we’ve seen and proven to indicate otherwise.
I’m a big fan of Microsoft Rewards (it’s going to buy me a large portion on The Outer Worlds 2 upgrade, and has bought me almost every one of the Powerwash Simulator DLCs, plus much more!) and really hope they continue it and don’t take any notes from Sony.
Their new rewards scheme where you have to earn trophies in order to get access to a shop to overly expensive tat seems like a con - and it’s going down badly with around 85% against it on a PS site’s poll (link below).
Can’t believe they thought it was a good idea - but then I guess Sony when they don’t feel “threatened” in the console space have generally always been arrogant and nickel-and-diming their customers for every additional bit of profit, really thinking those that cheered on the “death of Xbox” particularly in gaming media really forgot what PS3-reveal PlayStation was like…
Speaking of, is there no way to buy the OW2 premium upgrade on its own since the base game is on Game Pass? I only see the $70 and $100 editions that include the base game.
Anyone played romancing saga 2? If so was the game really good. I played a bit of the demo and was impressed by the gameplay aspect(The voice acting on the english side not so much but the japanese one is pretty good), am thinking of buying it alongside the one i recently bought in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Deluxe edition.
I do plan to acquire Suikoden 1 and 2 alongside monster hunter stories 1 and 2 in the near future(Maybe black friday if sales are cheaper).
The switch 2 is such a good price that you can buy a FULL windows PC in handheld form with access to literally every game ever on multiple storefronts (or other methods like Amazon Prime free games or Game Pass… or other other methods or other other other methods and so on) with constant sales and free multiplayer and cloud saves and so much more starting at only $150 more (you might even be able to find a Z1 Windows Handheld for less).
As Tim pointed out, you can buy the $30 upgrade which is what I did. Two expansions and 5+ days of Early Access is too good to pass up so I pre-ordered this a few weeks ago.
Yes. I’m personally not a fan of this and wish I could turn it “off” but it only appears when you’re connected online. When I was off-line playing Borderlands 4, the last tile on my dashboard is Metal Eden.
