I imagine some stuff on FF ports (at least the ones that they can port, I’m on the side of believing that the remake trilogy is console exclusive to PS until the final one releases) - probably makes sense to announce it there.

Rockstar can learn too! Reuse assets from previous games and give us more entries on a regular schedule.

I don’t think the remake trilogy is console exclusive anymore. SE has released the FF16 on PC and it doesn’t seem to be doing that great. I guess it’s a little too late, so I think Xbox is their last chance to do something. So, I’m guessing they want a big splash on Xbox that will get people talking. I won’t be surprised if they announce FF7 remake and rebirth for Gamepass like they did with Ni No Kuni 1and 2.

Selling their consoles doesn’t even mean much over there if nobody is actually buying games
They were selling 20-30k consoles but when you look at the charts its completely dominated by Switch software and even new big PS titles don’t do well
Final Fantasy was the big test and even it couldn’t get the numbers it should have got over there

A Days Gone remaster would be an even more ridiculous waste of time than a Horizon Zero Dawn remaster. It’s a 2019 game. Five years old. We’ve just barely reached the point where new games aren’t coming out on PS4 anymore. I just think it’s so dumb to re-sell these games that have barely aged.

very nice read. It was funny how so many of the media were quoted. Jez and Destin Legarie were both quoted which sounded funny. Also a good insight to the status of Xbox inside Microsoft.

Yet, no matter how many times I prove how abysmal Sony’s output has been the last few years, I always hear excuses and shifted goalposts relating to moneyhatted third party titles being “first party”, as if that’s remotely true or anything other than padding a non-existent content roadmap… you know, just like these wholly unwanted/unnecessary remasters of games not even two generations old. Sony has definitely won the “publisher who rips gamers off” crown easily these days.
