I believe this game debuted last year during one of the shows and it’s coming July 15. This game looks great. Trailer is from last week.
Reminds me of Commandos, Desperados, Shadow Tactics as in how the camera is placed. Love this atmosphere. So many different and unique and cool games coming out, love it.
I have several complaints about the game so far, but since I reached a new turning point in the story I hope to see some of them get some addressed by the game in the future.
Like how I needed to fast travel back to the base to get weapons I bought upgraded.
Or the fact I can’t sprint yet, there was a short moment when I was passing by a bridge where Clive broke into a full sprint. So I hope that’s addressed too.
Or how linear everything is so far, because it doesn’t allow for much exploration. But that’s and issue FF7 had before leaving Midgar, so I hope more areas open up to check out soon.
The story isn’t really drawing my attention too much yet, as it’s going back to the roots of countries starting a war to gain control of the other countries power during peace times. But it’s also strange because magic seems to be something everyone is over reliant on, for what seems to be most work. But at the same time a class of magic users isn’t treated well by most of the world.
It’s funny because people thinks every game that is debuting needs a Direct, showcase, or State of Play. Otherwise, it would be like “How dare you undersell this game! You hate marketing!” Nintendo just casually drop a news here with a video without the need of Direct.
Destin Legarie tried the Xbox Rog handheld and said he immediately tried Spiderman and as expected it worked. And seemingly MS has assured it will stay like this.
Now I do not care for handheld gaming, but if we can get this for the next Xbox console? LFG.
I think the only way Sony would be able to block a Xbox/PC merged ecosystem from playing their games is to not be on Windows. Which leaves just Steamdeck and Linux for releases.
It’s a handheld PC that plays PC games. I don’t really understand why people thought Sony’s PC games might be locked out somehow or even how they could be.
Yeah, I really don’t know why people are giving credence to conspiracy theories; Sony has already crossed that bridge and unless they want to open themselves up to slam-dunk legal suits from customers, there’s nothing they can do at this point… the Xbox Ally X literally just runs Windows, it’s no different than any other Ally, so why was this ever a question? Oh that’s right, Sony is the default standard that has to be met
That’s the thing for the next Xbox for me. It won’t run Windows, but I am still hoping they can get Steam support on there. There have been rumors regarding that, right?
Imagine once Sony goes for day one releases on PC/Steam and we on Xbox can play them immediately too. We wouldn’t need a PS console at all. But if that’s gonna happen…remains to be seen.
My guess would be that the next Xbox will be exactly the “Xbox Ally” in a more powerful console-sized form. So yes, it will run Windows with Steam support. The cooperation with ASUS is basically their testbed.
Microsoft also created an entire forwards-compatibility division to make the old console games run on this new hardware.
