Thanks for pointing that out.
Totally, I hope that they’ll all become Play Anywhere/xCloud titles at some point because I’ve already got an Ally X, newly-built PC, and an RP5 - so I’ve got my bases covered if it’s a game I want to play on the go or at max settings.
Return to the hilariously action-packed world of High On Life in the upcoming intergalactic adventure from Squanch Games: High On Life 2.
High On Life 2 introduces an all-new intergalactic conspiracy that threatens the fate of humanity. Set for a release this winter, prepare for an epic mission across a variety of exotic locales alongside a refreshed and fully-loaded arsenal of talking alien guns.
Following the debut of High On Life 2’s first official trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase, players will be elated to see the return of several familiar weapons from their original High On Life arms cache. Not only do Sweezy, Creature, and Gus earn their formal homecoming, but notably making a sharp return is Knifey, gaming’s ultimate bloodthirsty melee at the epicenter of 2023’s High On Knife DLC expansion.
While the original gang of guns will certainly assist the cause as users blast their way through high-octane hyperactive combat, High On Life 2 adds several new dynamic shooters into the mix. The latest assortment of weapons creates a well rounded medley of lethal proportions that promises both striking action and Squanch Games’ signature comedic flair.
During High On Life’s initial premiere in 2022, Squanch Games unlocked a variety of esteemed achievements – the FPS was quickly affirmed as Xbox’s biggest 3rd party launch in Game Pass historyand managed to become the biggest single-player Game Pass launch of the era. With a total player base of over 20 million and counting, the studio behind the galactic mayhem is eager to satiate the hunger of its audience with even more HOL.
“The Squanch Games team is ecstatic to continue expanding the world of High On Life with a sequel release. We’ve been floored with the amount of support for the original game and couldn’t be more excited for our players to revisit this universe after nearly 3 years. High On Life 2 is undoubtedly the best, most ambitious project our studio has crafted to date – it’s bigger and better in every way,” says studio CEO, Mike Fridley.
High On Life 2 is a total elevation of its original installment. Visuals are taken to their ultimate creative heights, combat is bolder than ever before, and fresh narrative breathes new life into each character. The game’s official trailer lays it all on the table, and you don’t want to miss a single frame.
Chief Creative Officer of Squanch Games, Mikey Spano, visited Xbox Studios to explore the trailer taking the internet by storm. Scene by scene, score a closer look at the visionary threads that weave together your first peek at High On Life 2!
Humanzapro. Combat. Skateboarding. Weaponry. Comedy. It all comes together in an innovative blend of action-packed adventure having players wreak havoc at the galaxy’s biggest convention, an alien zoo for humans, and a luxury futuristic cruiseliner on a cosmic quest to take down Big Pharma.

Didn’t know they didn’t have this yet.

Good thing comes for those who wait.
And yet people get worried when they don’t hear from the development team, surmising that there must be something wrong going on.
Obsidian may still be my favorite sudio pick up for Xbox. Absolute workhorse, I wasn’t even a huge fan of the first grounded but Im kinda interested in 2. Three games in one year. Obsidian isn’t fucking around.
So, Clive is kind of stupid huh? That or he wants to find a way to kill himself along with Ifrit. Because him wanting to avenge Joshua after waking up during the fight and somehow not realize he was Ifrit makes him pretty damn stupid.
Combat has gotten a lot better since the dog joined the party. I’m using the auto command ring though as I do not want to deal with deciding anything other than Torgal healing me earlier.
Yep it’s so obvious that it really hurts the story and impacted my will to push on - they needed to spend more time on lore before doing that if they wanted to make it seem truly impossible.
It’s one of those games I’ve still not finished yet as the story hasn’t quite grabbed me as hard as games it’s competing with for my attention…
For pre-orders or Game Pass.
I still find it curious how this is dropping in GP and we still haven’t had the first two. Licensing issue with music perhaps?
I’m a bit disappointed about the improvements in Gears 1. 4k was demonstrated as a backwards compatibility upgrade before launch of the Series X. We never got that for Gears Ultimate. At least they didn’t cut essential stuff like coop and multiplayer as we saw in lots of remakes and remasters lately.

It’s not “not the game to end on,” it’s “not the game I preferably end on.”
Yeah, res boost never happening sucked. But at least we get it for free here.
I was looking st Eurogamer comments on Facebook yesterday and people say COD is dead and this was the worst idea…
COD will remain huge for the foreseeable future and this just proves it.
Sucks not to get something “new”, like let’s embat end on a Banjo-Kazooie trailer, but acknowledging the next COD game is anything but stupid, even as a one last thing.
How are you liking it so far? I’m still on the fence on whether to get it now or just wait, since I am neck deep into Psychonauts 2 and other games. But the way that demo ended…has me wanting more!
Despite a good MC score I’ve been seeing a big mix of different opinions on the game, some calling it their favorite FF so far, others saying it’s soulless and a disgrace for the franchise, sheesh. I really digged the demo, so if that’s completely representative of the full game it should be fine.
Strangely enough, while CoD is CoD, this felt “new” mainly due to old (beloved) characters returning since Black Ops 2. So in a strange way, it feels like a surprise if you don’t read too much on it, especially with leaks.
