It does feel like leaks have been quieter this year in compare to the past to the point it almost seems like only NatetheHate does the report, true or not. I haven’t heard Jeff in a while and last time I have was the whole Giant Bomb issue.

5 defeats in a row on Halo. 2 defeats in a row on SMITE 2.

Me and my chum get no luck sometimes.

If so, they got CoD, Mario Kart, maybe DK, AC, maybe DS and GoY (ironic), and B4. That’s a lot of challenges. They should thank God that GTAVI is delayed. Still, that Bungie name better be amazing prestige title to care.

As much as I want to believe, no way it makes it into top 5 if we’re being honest. It’ll be lucky to even make it to top 10 unless a miracle happens and the mood changes around the title before it’s released.

The price is low enough that I’ll probably end up getting it though, but I have a feeling that the people I play with won’t spend much more than a few weeks on it before dropping the game.

Wow Bungie fell off and Marathon looks so uninspiring, probably just not my type of game but still, why don’t they try making another epic game with an epic single player and co op campaign like Halo? that would be great for their image right now, the masses would instantly care about another epic Bungie campaign. Thank God for Id Soft.

If that report is true, and I hope it isn’t, those expectations are crazily unrealistic. Talk about setting yourself up for failure.

Recently started with Doom The Dark Age, I’m taking my time and playing slowly, like one chapter per day in between other games.

I started the game on Ultra Violence, removed aim assist and increased game speed by 20% which makes me feel like I’m cheetah running to the end sometimes. After the first 3 chapter I am thinking of lowering the parrying timing, but I would need to experiment with it to see how well I can actually do. Also brought my damage up to 200 percent to match the demons and get a Fallout 4 survival feel to the damage scaling, I think I will raise that further for both myself and the demons though.

Edit: Adjusted settings and will like keep the parrying window on low and will definitely keep the 250% damage for myself and the demons. can happen so quickly to just about anything if I don’t catch it on time.

Even Square would think that’s crazy.

It’s like if Square decided to cancel all of its game slate except for Saga Frontier 2 Remastered, which may well be a fine game but is obviously for a niche audience, and then be like, “Everything else is cancelled, the whole company is now riding on this one game!”

Not every game has to be a big mainstream blockbuster. It’s a risky passion project - that’s cool! But then don’t engineer a situation where it’s the only new game that your 800-person studio has on the docket for the foreseeable future. This is not a plan for success.

I echo the sentiment that there needs to be a distinction between ads and news because many times those “ads” that are essentially news in regards to new game releases, sales, and friend info are stuff I actually use and value. I wouldn’t hide those with my GPU subscription.

But there are also ads for products, from cars to food, to that are unrelated to gaming and my experience on the Xbox that I can do without. I would definitely hide those.

I’m actually looking at my screen now and I have 4 “ads”. The first is a “browse at the store” card. It’s actually pretty redundant because access to the store can be found at the top menu. The second is Doom The Dark Ages “get exclusive gear”. Something that interests me. The next is “Coming Soon to Xbox” which also interests me. And finally the last one is “Quests: play games, earn rewards”. Which I already know about and use extensively so it’s not news to me, but it might be informative to New gamers. I think the “ads” should be more intelligent in regards to what we do and don’t use on our Xbox and what we do and don’t play. If Google and Facebook can have a psychological profile for each of us to the point where they know what we want to buy tomorrow and it shows an ad for it, it’s amazingly mind-boggling that Xbox has never done anything like this on their dashboard for nearly 20 years now, ever since they first introduced ads in the dashboard.

All this said, the text for the ads could be located at the top of each billboard, and the billboard could be shuffled down so they are 2/3rds off the screen. Indicating that if you want to see them you just tap down to go down to that row. This would give more screen real estate for everything else.

no GP wave 2 drop yet? odd

Yeah, I was thinking the same. Late or nothing?

It’s not “nothing” as they have to a T and Spraypaint Simulator coming already at the end of the month. So just late.

Oh that’s right. Still, they usually announce 2nd wave unless holiday season.

I think Game Pass is beginning to affect Steam a little more than expected.
