Huh

Xbox really needs to be hire more people if they’re so busy they can take up to 2 months to reply to devs.

Yeah, that’s far from ideal. It was good to see the Xbox logos again in the most recent trailer. Come on Xbox!

Hundreds of dev studios and thousands of games release on Xbox and yet somehow that dev has issues. Sounds dodgy as all get out.

Getting some Black Myth Wukong vibes.

It’s weird because there were issues before and the release for Xbox was uncertain until the latest trailer at TGA, all seemed well again.

Yeah, whatever it is that’s going on with that. It’s just annoying as fuck, whatever it is.

I think this developer even had a booth at Gamescom and everyone knows Xbox was there with the largest booth setup of all times. If only they perhaps talked to Xbox there.

It’s also unprofessional and never for the best of the company to take things public like this. Never burn bridges in public.

Yeah… was vibing on this until that one character (you know which one) appeared and then it’s like… oh… guess I won’t be playing this when the family is in the room.

Maybe, but if they’re going through ID@Xbox I can definitely see an issue. Since we have had devs complaints about them in the past, which seemed like it was a preference getting in the way of allowing devs to publish their games.

Keep in mind that the last complaint made public like this was faked as the entire development was disbanded months before hand. I can’t remember what that dev/game was now.

Sounds like the can’t pass Cert

Jez covering it now.

Right fraudulent one that likely was planning on getting some money from people.

The one I was talking about though was a small jump scare game involving a nun trying to kill the player, the dev had published a similar game previously. But they couldn’t get ID@Xbox to publish their new game, but they could get it publish as an app which restricted the memory allowance.

This sure sounding like an attempt to get attention on their PC and PS5 releases.

Just 5 months ago they had entirely cancelled the Xbox version – Enotria: The Last Song launches August 21, Xbox Series version no longer planned - Gematsu

Jez says he’s heard personally of a few others having issues, but who knows.

If this kind of outburst keeps happening though Xbox have to stop taking the high ground and either call out what appears to be a campaign against them to make developers question whether it’s worth dealing with Xbox - or admit if there are issues in the certification teams at the moment that they’re working to resolve.

It’s getting a bit silly now as new devs might hear this crap and think it could happen to them so not worth trying an Xbox port

From the Jez article

“Unfortunately, at this time, we have to announce an indefinite delay of the Xbox version. We understand how disappointing this news is to the Xbox community. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts and the hard work of our dedicated team, we’ve encountered challenges that have delayed our release on the Xbox platform. We want to emphasize that this is not a decision we’ve made lightly.”

If that’s the case, Microsoft need to get their lawyers out and start fucking people up lol - at this point it feels like a concerted campaign to undermine Xbox as a platform, and hitting a few where it hurts might make them more careful before telling lies

They already announced no Xbox versions back 5 months ago. This latest public outburst seems like attention seeking for their game.

Back in March they deliberately chose to drop the Xbox version… But now the story is that they did want to release an Xbox version but it’s Microsoft’s fault they can’t. Sounds legit.
