Played Ninja Gaiden 2 Black today, finished chapter 1, second difficulty. It wasnāt as challenging as I expected. I had NG2 on 360, and I know I played that in second difficulty too. Was it nerved or did I just get a little better? I remember it being way harder.
I feel like the second difficulty is undertuned. I am 8 or so chapters in and itās got much less fun because it remains too easy.
It also feels like such a strange, shallow world. But the combat is so good. A rarity for me to enjoy these things.
Surprised to see Spider-Man 2 in player count rather underwhelming. Itās barely 30% of the first one. Guess I should wait for the weekend for end result. I did hear thereās technical problems, hence mixed reviews over at Steam page.
Staggered launches loose a lot of steam (pun intended). Thatās why MS is moving toward PS launches on Day 1. Thatās why Sony will move to Day 1 singleplayers on PC in, letās say, 2-3 years. Given fixed pricepoints the only variable you have left is to get to as many people as possible and you really want that Day 1 concentrated hype to turn into word-of-mouth on all platforms.
In the style of those memes about the USA military where it says āFind out why we donāt have universal health careā and its an image of a huge aircraft carrier.
Iād like to see companies follow Kojima Productions and launch late releases on other platforms at an introductory price, as in the case of Death Stranding. That was an instant buy from me because of that, despite already owning it from the Epic Store giveaway.
Some do like MS and Sea of Thieves. Canāt do that with a Disney license thoā¦
It seems to be a mix between Sigma and orginal game with a bit easier bosses.

Ouch if trueā¦
Eurogamer proving once again they donāt know shit about Xbox.
Also no Iām not reading that article, that headline says everything.

Remember when WB said they need more live service?
And nothing of value was lost. At this point, after the last four years, I donāt think this can be classified as anything other than disinformation - we all talk about the double standards, but this is on a whole other level where theyāre ignoring years of Xbox outputting more, higher quality content than their competitor and Game Pass has been great-to-amazing for six of those eight years (among plenty of other fact-based, verifiable points). I refuse to give clicks to sites like that, and I donāt need to know what the actual article states because the disinformative, console-warring headline is proof of garbage, enough.
For me, I canāt stand much of the coverage of Xbox full stop by many of the sites, but Iām glad at least first party output is now so insane that even they canāt ignore it and are forced to admit that Game Pass is even more of a steal than ever.
It sucks that Xbox isnāt given a fair hearing, but I do hope some gamers who are struggling to afford the insane cost of gaming (particularly if youāre a Sony fan) read that article and start to re-think if this hobby really needs to be quite as eye-wateringly expensiveā¦
I only game on Gamepass and will now only buy 1 or 2 games a year max at full price, where I used to buy 1 or 2 per month. The savings are crazy and thatās without counting savings from Rewards. I buy tons of games on sale for 0$ thanks to rewards from playing games!
Nothing even comes close!
This has been one of my points of contention with most of the gaming media, who simply donāt pay for games the way we do in most cases: belittling GP and those that would truly benefit, is elitist garbage. I know firsthand, last year, that I wouldnāt have been able to play anything new just about had it not been for GP and I know plenty of former colleagues that are in dire straits because of some of the political situations occurring, and they still deserve to game and GP allows them to do so ffs.
I share Gamepass with my brother, as with his current financial situation he wouldnāt be able to afford anything right now. Even I had to give a good look at my financials due to rising costs accross the board and Gamepass has been a lifesaver.
I havenāt read it so Iām just going by the headlines bla bla bla, and obviously theyāre going to look at the industry and market trends etc, but.
but
Iāve been happily playing games, on Xbox (and elsewhere), for those 8 years. Itās like people wilfully ignore games that they might enjoy, because⦠??! Their loss, not mine.
