Xbox partnering with them just shows that they get it, itâs going back to the greatness of the first Xbox with Ninja Gaiden, it also shows they definitely do take Japan seriously. If there was any doubt. Love to see it.

So this yearâs DD surprise was a shadow drop.
Funny thing, no one talked about a shadow drop before the show this year. Guess Xbox is getting better and better in hosting DD shows with an element of surprise.

Yes, I think so. Itâs still absolutely brilliant.
Iâve long had enough of the endless stream of edgelord 3rd person big sword splashy slashy stuff. But NG is the OG.
Edit: playing NG2 black and I suck, all over again, and the camera isnât great, but hot damn slashing up minions feels so fucking good still.
Edit 2: the boob physics/costumes are absurd, however. Totally gratuitous, hah.

One thing that the âreleasing more games in more placesâ strategy has done is improve the tone of coverage for Xbox shows.
I donât think Iâve seen one get a bad bit of coverage since (other than a few bad faith âthey didnât mention the layoffsâ for last Juneâs showcase), and even commentators / social media seems quite positive - still a few sore console warriors but even one I know of who swapped âsidesâ, often the most fanatical, could only say âwell theyâre all coming to PS5, Iâm sure South of Midnight will tooâ rather than anything negative.
And the coverage in particular from the multi-platform media has definitely improved, despite sly digs - Xbox has always produced great shows but seems finally itâs being noticed, and they have so much quality to show tooâŚ

Some of the South of Midnight comments Iâve seen have been like âWhatever, it doesnât look that great⌠but, itâs coming to PS5 right? Right??â Funny stuff.
I wish MS had not announced Indiana Jones for PS5 in advance, just to see the steam come out of peopleâs ears when they canât decide whether to downplay or port beg.

Itâd just be nice if âyeah but waves hands TLOU got really high meta scores so waves hands again, you knowâ didnât do all the carrying for thoughtless narrative rubbish.
And? Good for the Devs, good for the players. That doesnât change what Gamepass offers, nor the fact of XGS being very strong, nor âi can play almost everything on PC anyway⌠And timed delays matter for PS, but not for Xbox releasing some games later on other platforms? Sure.â

Yeah itâs easy to get the gaming media sycophants to to give positive coverage on Xbox when they know most of it is coming to PS5. Iâm done with getting annoyed by it. MS chose this path and everything that will inevitably come with it. Iâll just continue enjoying the games while the hardware continues to exist.

I never played Sigma 2 before until Black 2. I had no idea the Sigma versions were so easy compared to NG Black and OG 2. Iâm still loving the game though and I canât believe NG is back and we have 2 more games to look forward to.

Just a reminder : this is the right time to play Gigantic. A lot of new people are playing the game right now with it being on GP.
The game is awesome but it can be tricky to get into a game so be patient and try and try again. Quickplay is your best bet.
The game is so fun to play, but sadly, it will die again when the player population dies out. Donât miss your chance. It may be the last time the game get that player pool boost.

Agreed. It still needs patches itâll never get, but: so much fun when it sings. A lovely game that has never got what it deserved, even with its miracle come back.
