XboxEra Community Hangout |OT13| The Bakers Dozen

If anything, it “object” the claim of Xbox console going bye bye when one is now joining in. The case with Capcom is a strange one if framework talk is true.

People will care online as much as they did for Genshin (after demanding it for years). In the end it would be best to have it all on the platform if possible and I hope they work it out with Capcom. I’m just sick of people seeming shocked that “MT Framework doesn’t work on Xbox” as something ‘new’ right now.

A few tidbits -

  • Is anyone here reviewing Visions of Mana?

  • Starting with Visions of Mana, I have gone all digital on both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. I already pre-ordered it and am looking forward to playing it eventually. lol

  • Pre-ordered Astro Bot and purchased Black Myth Wukong. Will be playing Astro Bot at launch and Wukong afterwards.

  • Also pre-ordered Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

  • Next new game purchase won’t be until Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

  • Watched the Nintendo Direct partner showcase and only Tetris collection was of interest to me. At this point, im just waiting for Switch 2. I do hope that they remaster Metroid Prime 2 and 3 for Switch like they did 1 because I really want to play all three of them before Metroid Prime 4.

  • Later today though, back to Halo Reach as my Halo game completion spree continues!! lol

No, they never sent us a code.

Damn, that sucks Jesse. You would think that they would since it’s the first Mana game on Xbox.

Negativity bias is a real thing and is why discourse for pretty much anything online is so terrible and pointless.

I’m one person but I’m actually really excited to try out Genshin Impact. I’m definitely going to give it a whirl to see what all the fuss is.

I’ll just say this,

If you think Xbox is on its way out because of old fighting games collection and ignoring two franchise/developer Genshin Impact and Atelier, first for the series on Xbox, then that’s your problem.

Put an hour or so into it on mobile years ago and didn’t really grab me. Recently went through the trouble of getting it running on my Steam Deck and I’m really enjoying it. A wee bit cringy with character design and voice acting but everything else seems excellent. I’ve been adding a bunch of free codes for years and has allowed me to unlock a bunch of characters for free.

Hopefully when I boot it up on Xbox all my achievements will pop.

Nintendo Event aka let’s see if Xbox gets lucky.

I used to love Worms back on PC like 20 years ago, but I played one on Xbox a couple years back and just didn’t enjoy. Not sure why unless it was that it seemed to be a lot more of a pain aiming without a mouse and not having assist or something.

Yes, a Nintendo Partner Showcase. What struck me far more than the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 skipping Xbox (at least at the time of this writing, if rumors are to be entertained) is just how many Japanese games, that were never released for Xbox, coming to the big green platform. The Castlevania DS collection coming to Xbox alone is inarguably bigger than the fighting collection (I’m speaking from the fact that the DS Castlevania games actually sold a decent amount during their release, the only objective metric), and I say that as someone that is still holding out on picking them up on Switch in the hopes of an eventual Xbox release.

Really happy to see so many of you pre-emptively pushing back against the predictable attempts to make this a new or bigger problem than it is. I’ll never stop being “impressed” by how some of the biggest troublemakers, here and elsewhere, will ignore the greater amount/quality of releases that aren’t skipping Xbox, or being brought to a supposedly-dying platform for the first time in their franchise history, for the singular title that they can complain about to spin said narrative… when you remember that the majority of this has come from verified-fanboys, it’s less surprising but still.
