Quick resume keeps three Series/One games in there. I’m pretty sure I’ve had six or so games in Quick Resume at some point or another, as the BC games don’t count.

You mean with the pin feature?

MS, how about you include some of your games that aren’t on PC in project latitude??? Halo 5, and Crash Team Racing are games that come to my mind, there could be more. Making full slate of library available on PC should be core part of that strategy. Seriously now :phil_unsure:

Here’s a link to be able to read it without someone paraphrasing. I had to click Story Continues to see all of it but Yahoo Finance has the whole article.

My favorite line is at the very end:

“To reach new players, we need to be creative and adaptive of new business models, new devices, new ways of access. We’re not going to grow the market with $1,000 consoles.”

Wasn’t sure where to post this. Apologies if better suited elsewhere. I have been wanting a handheld device for a while. The ROG ally extreme z1 is on sale for 399 and I am very tempted. However I have heard reviews slate the battery life. I would like to use the device when sat in the living room, and then when travelling.

In an ideal world I would want say 4 hours out of this thing. Is that possible if I used an external power bank, if so what type would be best?

I understand when using it at home it could just be plugged in, but let me know if that is incorrect

I have the first gen ally and it’s impressive hardware, but battery life is meh. The 2nd gen improves that. If you’re planning to use the ally a lot on the go. Then I would advise to get the latest one that improves on that. The first gen is great for an in the home device that is plugged in, but battery life is limited on the go imo. I will say battery life on first gen is about 1.5-3 hours tbh. It depends on the game you’re playing

No, I mean in Quick Resume, it had save three full Series console games in saved states.

That seems rather quick?

Not sure what the time implied here is, back in 2016 when they started going on PC day-one? Or recently around Infinite? But in any case, hurdles or not, there’s no un-portable games lol, especially one made on x86 & dx11 hardware, even if it required considerably more effort to port, it’s important for Halo’s history and Xbox’s own statement about games everywhere etc.

This is a way better summary

I like what I’m reading.

Same, and no matter how much drama the media try to make from a strategy that their competitor is literally, and directly, mimicking, it’s still frustrating to see that be the focal point of “the narrative”. Especially when we literally had another SIE game come to Xbox just last week… the intentional blinders are gross.

All that said though, I think everything else I’m hearing (and seeing where the market is clearly going), I don’t see any reason to be pessimistic about Xbox and its place in the industry.

Feels like the market for it was over-exaggerated online. I think people need to realizes spaces like reddit, social media and other forums does not speak for the general consumer. Most people in gaming spaces are enthusiast, so they don’t speak for the actual demand. I don’t think there’s that much demand for the pro. Unlike the One X and PS4 Pro the major hook was 4k resolution because many purchased 4k tvs and wanted something to play it on.

“We’re not going to grow the market with $1,000 consoles.”

Is he teasing next-gen prices? /s

…Sifu? her?

Yes, he is. I’ve often wondered if they were loosing 100 to 200 dollars on the consoles that would make a series X in the range of 600 to 700 dollars. A next gen system that isn’t subsidized would definitely hit a thousand. Also at the June showcase some fans spoke to Jason Ronald about what kind of price one would need to expect for a really solid Xbox console and they were told around a thousand.

But it surely wouldn’t be the entry console…
