Yeah if it’s to have any chance it must find an audience before December.
At that point, Marvel Rivals comes out, is free and the “Guardians of the Galaxy” knock offs get outdone by the real thing…

Are there table flipping opportunities?
Yeah, they need to pust on + ASAP because it’s for sure dead once Marvel launches. Honestly, they most likely would’ve had a better shot with this game if they shadow dropped it after their state of play.
But what is the monetization like? Can’t exactly go from a $40 game to a ‘f2p’ game if there isn’t a way to be profitable off of it.
I know PS Plus doesn’t make it f2p, but you know what I mean. They’d basically be giving up on making money from it lol. I guess they could hope it breaths new life into it and turns it around.
I think it’s done, it had a public open beta and nobody cared. It probably did more harm than good.
I think Sony can handle 14 angry people…

This, exactly!
Not every game has combat that actually feels good, this one sure seems to nail it.
BTW @Doncabesa did any one get to try out Squirrel With A Gun?
What a pleasant surprise. This is looking way, way better than I expected.
The combat seems punchy/weighty, which I really dig. And visually it’s surprisingly impressive.
Nice! The Sniper Elite games are my jam. The last one was my GotY in 2022.
Will definitely play this one on day one.
I enjoyed it a lot and thought the dlc maps were quite good too, the naval yard was pretty awesome.
Octopath Traveler 2 is even better than the first one. I really recommend people playing it, it was awesome !
I have been away because of events over here. Hope everyone here is having a good weekend. So about Concord, I don’t know if it’s true but supposedly devs aren’t taking it well over social media. It doesn’t help that some fans are now trying to bash of course Xbox with Halo Infinite. At least it’s alive. Hell, it’s still kicking over Xbox platform, more so than xDeviant. Don’t know why they have to bring it up, but it is what it is.
Ugh, gamers.
Perhaps they should give Halo to Firewalk. All BS aside though it has to just frankly suck to be in the devs shoes. Its perhaps the worst first party launch…ever? Its freaking hard making a game and to have no one show up, apathy is worse than hate.
Its made me more curious about statements around Factions, pretty clear that whole thing was just a lie and yes Sony will release a game to die.
Eh, looks like its one junior “dev” who doesnt even work there anymore being a little bit abrasive about people who seem…very bad faith. But yeah, rough weekemd for anyone who built it.
It must be a terrible feeling. I am lucky that the stuff I work on is only used internally, can’t imagine how it feels to spend 6 years on something for everyone to hate it.
Same lol, captive audience who have no choice but to use my stuff!
After the non-stop positivity from people in the industry all last week it has been miserably depressing to come back to typical online gaming discourse. “It needs to change but we don’t know how to fix it” is the prevailing thought about how needlessly negative and combative gaming fans are, online.
Yep, that’s why I am stopping listening to people online, and just playing games. By the way, Neon White is awesome too.
Yeah, we all play a part in it, but I feel stuff like using steam ccu to bash games does a lot of damage. I am sure some might’ve given it a shot, but its tough to comeback once your game is the laughing stock. I feel the hate cycle is continuous. Not naming other games, but we’ve seen the damage it has done once the hate cycle starts for a game.
I just hope moments like this makes people cool off on using stuff like this for console wars and other stuff. We’ve all seen what happens once the hate cycle begins
