Bingo, add in Destiny and Marathon (if the latter ever releases). There are already clear, inarguable examples indicating that Sony was taking a more tepid, but similar approach to Xbox… people just want to put their heads in the sand because they’ve been brainwashed by the media and the cultists they’ve helped prop up.

The moment of PS exclusive coming to Xbox is the moment people will implode, like how X is currently. Seriously, a lot of people are beginning to move to elsewhere, including Tim of Double Fine.

True. I think we’re still a long ways off from that, if ever. I would sure welcome it though, I’d get the good ones and I’d also enjoy the show called meltdown looking like this…

I genuinely wonder how much profit there would be for Sony if they did do this. Will Xbox only players buy the games?

Agreed, I think that tweet just sounded more definitive than I would have liked.

I think they’d support switch first before Xbox.

I think that would be last on their list indeed.

I could see edge cases like HD2, I think that would do wonders for Sony on Xbox.

Bluesky is much more laid back and feels like old Twitter ( for now ) , a lot of my favorite artists are finally making the move. With Elon’s current fuckery I expect many more big names to abandon the platform.

Series X performance mode will be the way I’m going. I can barely tell the difference between fidelity and performance until they zoom in 100x.

Interesting.

Yeah, that would be good for the game and Sony. Those are the kind of games that actually makes sense, like Sea of Thieves.

But I doubt we’ll see Spider-Man/Venom/Wolverine (Indiana Jones) or random smaller games like Returnal/Ratchet (Pentiment/HFR) anytime soon.

Those huge sunk costs for licensing games I can easily see being multi-platform (also on Nintendo and Xbox). Anything to throw a wider net to pickup consumers.

Now the larger self-owned IP games could remain multi-platform PS and PC, like TLOU.

So… basically Xbox, as I’ve said for years. Keeping in mind that all of the hoopla about Xbox going full-multiplatform ultimately just being an extension of what they’ve been doing for over a decade…a

But yeah, I’m sure whatever games to come won’t “count” because it’s all about this delusional console-warring, cultist garbage. I’m frankly tired of the industry and discourse being steered by gaslighting delusional clowns

I think it will release alright but if I was a dev working on GaaS stuff for Sony, id be really concerned at thyis point

Like all things it depends on the games

Spiderman, GoW, Helldivers 2 etc would all do big numbers on Xbox meanwhile Lego Horizon…probably not

It’s no different with Xbox games on PS, some will thrive like SoT or a Horizon would do monster numbers there but something like HFR will not

The fact that they seem to still follow their AAA production goals even in live service is so stupid and insane, that’s a near impossible task. That is what probably killed Factions, AAA production quality on the level of content creation efficiency required for live-service is impossible for most studios. Even Rockstar with how huge they are couldn’t manage RDR Online and had to abandon it to keep milking GTA which is also the easier game to make content for.

They genuinely seem completely incompetent/clueless on how to do GaaS

When all of the studios you owned previously only ever really built single-player games, it should come as no surprise. Hell, even the few multiplayer games they made were shut off far too prematurely. When you actually look at Sony’s output and all their mistakes over the last twenty years, and not the nostalgia-lined narrative the media try to spin constantly, you’d see that Sony makes a bevy of them… they just don’t get crucified at every turn.
