XboxEra Community Hangout |OT13| The Bakers Dozen

There is a good amount of fan service and well, the power of friendship is strong with this one. However, i think it is fun with good vibes and some very emotional moments.

I’m not sure if this is right, but I’m finding that the fastest way to level Archtypes in Metaphor is to master one for each character and just keep using it to farm. As we keep getting and item every time the Archtypes “levels” worth 1000 Archtype experience.

I went from having 1 mastered on 1character to nearly 2 per character in a pretty short time.

I read that, but how is that really different than just using the one you want to level. Is each level less than 1000 exp?

So far it seems so, because as we level up the enemies start to give less XP of both kinds in whatever area were in, it becomes even less in overworld combat.

I will be leveling up all three mastered once more, before switching out one to an Archtype I haven’t leveled to see how big of a difference it can be. Because not having to spend so much time leveling each Archtype can save on so much time, like Ryuji’s level 8(I think it was 8) bond ability in P5R.

Edit: thinking about it, since the XP difference drops so much this could be the way to get more back when we over level pass the enemies in a dungeon.

The show was amazing for a third party show better than anything Keighley does. VO was great though now they added one I wonder if they could have VO in other languages for different regions of the world.

I know, that’s what makes this so difficult.

I just hope they focus on fun GoW and not sad dad GoW.

The higher bitrate is needed because at the moment xcloud is the worst cloud service I’ve used. I hope it can get to the quality of stadia because that was a nice experience

Pause that remaster!

I think what helped the preview show is that there were varieties rather than multiple same genre. Even when there were some, not only it has own style but its own approach like that extraction souls like game.

I still haven’t fully watched it, things to do and Metaphor to play, but some talk I saw out there was saying a lot if the games blend into each other because they supposedly looked the same. But then again that’s probably just the console warriors on reddit.

Watched the Xbox Partner Preview a few hours ago when I got home from work. This was the third Xbox Partner Preview that Microsoft has had. I know majority will go based on overall opinion on if a showcase is good, bad or in the middle but I go based on how many games are shown and out of those games, how many are for me.

October 2023 showcased 10 games and I had 1 (RoboCop: Rogue City) for a 10% ratio. This past March 2024 was the second and showcased 12 games I had nothing of interest so 0%. Today’s showcase had 15 games and 3 (Cronos, Pirate Yakuza and Eternal Strands) were for me for a 20% ratio. Decent showcase and best of the three for me personally.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza looks like they nailed ship combat better than Ubisoft did with Skull & Bones despite having a few blueprints for it (Black Flag, Rogue, Origins and Odyssey) and Sega moved up the release date a week from February 28th to February 21st.

Cronos has my interest but need to see more gameplay/combat and Eternal Strands looks pretty cool and kinda gives me Immortals Fenyx Rising vibes.

Don’t know if it’s the worst as I haven’t tried them all, but on a big screen it could definitely use a higher bitrate (on my phone it looks fine). I’ve been wanting to get a fire stick 4k to stream to my bedroom TV but the current quality stops me from doing it.

Even streaming from local Xbox inside my house looks average to me to be honest, I really don’t know why we cannot get higher resolution and bitrate as I use remote play quite a lot and xcloud as well. The sharpening filter on Edge when playing in browser helps a bit but it’s not enough. We should have some from of 1080p with high bitrate and HDR by now at the very least.

They probably see one enemy on screen and they conclude to be soulslike game. Many of which either plays like one or take a spin on it. One is like Wukong, the other is a co-op style. The other is more of an adventure with climbing, puzzle, and so on. I don’t think they paid much attention to those details. It was a lot noticeable to that SoP (I think it was first of this year) where there were like 4 soulslike games and they are virtually the same.

Yeah we’ve had a lot of issues, but we’re working through them. Now that ads are being injected successfully, they’re working on our requirement for NOT displaying them to Patrons!

Bear with us! And thank you for your patience.

Thanks, they have calmed down today (so far). Today I have only had two full page adverts, the first requiring me to refresh as it would not close.

The interstital ads (the ones that pop up/take over the screen) should only appear max one every 60 minutes per uses. I’ve had no issues closing them - are you on mobile or desktop?

Having said that, we’re working on restoring the “no ads for Patrons functionality” ASAP for you guys.

Once again, Phil only post at Thread and this time, it’s about his pleasure playing Metaphor. You know, after witnessing timeline that mocked the recent celebrity’s death in the upmost distasteful way possible, which I have zero idea why I got suggested, tells me that app is absolutely screwed.

I did some minor comparisons in Metaphor, and concluded that the reason why using the 1K archetype XP item seems faster to me: Convenience!

At level 1 archetypes so far need 200 A-XP, so using a new one on each character should be faster.

But the lack of skills and passives can make most fights last longer, throw in enemy passives and skills in a dungeon that could counter the archetype were using.

Which delay the fights even longer, costing us on the extra XP for not taking damage in a fight. Making the best time to level lower level archetypes directly when we can kill enemies in the over world.
