Nice little show, some cool surprises and solid Gamepass gets.
You can tell some of the trailers have fun creating them. One is all about cryptic words with shadows and that ghost game building up for release date. Overall, a fun show! More of this!
It was alright. Iāll have me some Alan Wake Lake House, Cronos, Mouse P.I., Animal Well, and Phasmaphobia
If judging the event the way the media judges PS events, this is an absolute slam dunk. Seriously though, judging by actual merits and objectivity, I thought it served its purpose perfectly well - itās not an e3 level showcase and it was never meant to be. Compared to most SoPās lately this hit all the bullet points that Sony seems to be missing: a blend of mostly new titles, with a sprinkling of previously-announced titles, and excellent pacing. Not sure what there is to complain about
Also, while Iām loving this SNES/Genesis and Saturn/PSX collections weāre getting, itās nice not to have a presentation that constantly relies on nostalgia like Sonyās do. I love those remakes and collections (less so single-game remasters, but thatās a nuanced discussion and I already digress), but I think theyāre the type of thing best served for random announcements and YT reveals (applies to Nintendoās presentations as well lately).
Yeah, this is way better than most if not all SOPs. Cool and neat games, a wide spread of genres and a couple of big surprises.
But who cares about SOP, I just like that theyāve got so many good partnerships and that most importantly, thereās good games coming.
Pleasantly surprised at Edenās Zero coming to xbox ( especially since Fairy Tale isnāt ?) Enjoy the manga, hopefully itās good. Very solid showing all around. One of these days Iāll get around to playing Alan Wake 2.
Edit: Wuchang Fallen Feathers looking really good too btw.
Series S strikes again! Also Gamepass is bad and this game wonāt save Starfield.
Iāll start playing AW2 when physical copy releases, which is almost time. As for Edenās Zero, itās from Konami. Aside from SH2, though we can bet they will come to Xbox, they have been kind to Xbox so far.
Iām hyped about FBC Firebreak. And because itās coming to GP day one, it makes things easier for everyone !
I liked the Partner Preview. Kept my expectations at zero, certainly no FF expectations or whatsoever, lol. Interesting new games, and plenty gameplay.
-
Canāt comment much on AW2 DLC because I still need to even install base game. Looked quite nice though.
-
Cronos the new Dawn by Bloober looked rather good in that brief gameplay bit, really digging the atmosphere there.
-
Blindfire looks like it could be fun. Itās early access and if that means free Iāll give it a try.
-
Yakuza looks crazy, but in a good way. It seems this studio doesnāt miss and itās lovely to see them just doing something unexpected for the IP, not the first time though.
-
Mouse looks great! I will definitely play this.
-
Subnautica 2. Barely got to play the first one, a bit too much resource gathering for me. If more or a narrative now I might check it out.
-
Animal Well. If it were on GP Iād check it out. Kindaā¦interesting to hear Dunkey here. Did he make this? Or was he just hired for the voice?
-
Edens Zero. Could be interesting. Will keep a lookout for this. Nice to see Konami support for Xbox.
-
Eternal Strands. From former BioWare people if Iām not mistaken. Had my eyes on this, and now Game Pass? Letās go!
-
Mistfall. Maybe, visually nice, not sure gameplay wise.
-
Wheelworld. Itās GP so Iāll give it a whirl, but wasnāt too crazy about this.
-
Legend of Baboo. Looks like it could be a nice action adventure.
-
Wuchang. Iām hoping itās more like Xuan Yuan and less like Souls, but it seems itās more like Souls. Hopefully more forgiving than Sekiro though, lol.
What I find strong about this show is the variety of different games. Thereās something for everyone here.
Awesome. Iāve been hoping someone would make a game called Slop Dungeon!
Watch it be exactly that though.
Been on a bit of a fighting game fixation again lately, which has taken an abrupt break because of the hand, and Iāve been watching a ton of Maximilian to fill the time. Hereās yet another great video about one of my favorite fighting series: Darkstalkers - what I really appreciate is how he outlines the era of Capcom (between 06-2017) where they were really putting out terrible games/ports/remasters and relying heavily on barebones remasters (sound familiar?).
I used to explicitly state that Xbox should stay away from Capcom when they first were looking at studios, and I was right then, but now that theyāve had a solid seven year run of nothing but hit after hit, Iād say the new Capcom would be a solid choice. That said, I think the industry is healthier/better off for publishers like Capcom, who can manage to turn around their situation by listening to consumers and treat their staff with dignity and respect, to continue to blaze their own trails.
Honestly suprised by Edens Zero, but Iām glad about it. Iām currently watching Fairy Tails and really liking it, so Iām hoping the games will come to Xbox as well.
Is it a good anime and or manga?
