Guess Epic Games wasn’t a good idea for them before?

At the very least this means they can publish on Steam and every other pc store day one.

At first I thought…but we are getting Yumia, not this? But my guess is they really want to test how Yumia does on Xbox first.

That’s a mobile game that is likely already in work. The Yumia is the next project work from the creator, so that one was being worked on for a while. That said the outcome is important for more to come, though appearing in Xbox showcase was a right move to begin with.

Hope people show up for these JRPGs. I am afraid that a lot of people demand games for the optics of the platform rather than because they want to play them.

I sure want to play them. I mean I think the negative effect would have been apparent from Persona and many others who joined, so it does mean it’s working. Just that we have no numbers on our end. We can only assume when their next game doesn’t come to Xbox.

I try to buy every jrpg that comes to the system day 1. My backlog just off this year alone is kind of crazy right now lol but I’m slowly chipping away at it and theirs still a lot more to come

This is how it’s always been. lol

Hopefully yeah.

I will for sure buy Yumia, it’s right up my alley. I’ll get that.

I’m hearing the Pro console is still available. It’s a good thing for 30th Anniversary. Those scalpers were busy on that one.

I’ll be there day one for every single one, especially once we’re not on a single-income. Supported everything thus far and will be doing the same for as long as possible :green_heart:

I still gotta get on Visions of Mana. Hard to fit in all these long games lol. Also feel a little less inclined since they shut down the studio, but the publisher still needs to see the interest either way I guess.

Persona 3 Aigis was probably a waste of time, dunno why I’m powering through it lol

Yeah. I have zero interest in them, but I still hope people who’ve been clamoring for them put their money where their mouth is. I’d rather not the internal talk in the gaming industry end up being “we/they tried it, didn’t work, no point in trying again.”

I’m taking my time with it, because the decision de level everyone, take away all the equipment and empty the compendium is just padding for what should have been a fun 3 hour run through a dungeon.

But at least I was able to just get the Persona 5 persona to compensate to cut through a lot of this. Also the ability to leave to heal and continue from the floor with the transport.

I don’t consider myself a huge JRPG fan (in the way that I haven’t played many games in the genre) but this year I got LaD: Infinite Wealth (which I loved so much), Persona 3 Reload, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance and I am planning to also get Metaphor and DQ3 Remake. Very interested in the Atelier and Threads of Time games too next year.

In other words…

I believe Square have seen the result by continuing the push. FFXIV recent expansion had the best player count since the relaunch of the game itself. Xbox was included. It has effect and haters need to stop pretending it doesn’t mean anything, like saying, “Hooray! 3 more copies sold.” It’s so 2014…

They seemed to show up for Persona and Yakuza. ( even Unicorn Overlord is sold well) Honestly one shouldn’t have to “beg” for third party games to begin with but here we are. Either way if they want to build an audience on a certain platform you need to put the games there , it’s as simple as that.
