2K doesn’t own Game Pass, of course they wouldn’t put GTA into it. Platform holders vs. 3rd parties are always going to look at things differently.

I’m not sure that the Holidy 2025 date is solid, mainly because Nintendo has just as much history (more actually) of releasing consoles in the spring/summer as they do the Fall holiday season. We all know the successor is coming next year because Nintendo stated as much, the rest is just speculation as it has been for the last five years of “Switch Pro/Switch 2” rumor-mongering.

We have to be really careful with these kind of rumors even coming from reputable sources. Games are hard to make. Developing a game is (almost) always chaotic and messy. Delays are the norm.
Yet, Marathon doesn’t feel as enticing as Destiny 3 imo.

Marathon 2 Durandal was the very first Bungie game I ever played and many of the things in there would carry over to Halo. I dunno about making a new one that is MP only but we’ll see I guess.

I was searching for it but its not yet in the Creations store. But wow, mods are getting crazier by the day ! The weapons, enhancements and tweaks to gameplay people are bringing to the game are really really great to see.

If Nintendo can release Switch 2 OLED at $400 with it being 1440p/60FPS/HDR docked and 1080p/60FPS in handheld/portable mode along with having full backwards compatibility with Switch 1, I honestly don’t see how they don’t just continue where they left off. Expecting a March 2025 release.
If they do the above, they got me day one and im not even really a Nintendo guy. If they then do free/paid upgrades for Switch 1 games that I want to play, oh man, that just makes it even better for me and last but not least, if they were to bring back Virtual Console like they had on the Wii, I truly don’t know how they could fail unless all their first party releases suddenly turn to total and complete shit which isn’t going to happen.
Switch 2 baby!!! With Metroid Prime 4 as a launch title!! Let’s go!!

Yeah, I was on board for the rest but this is post-GCN Nintendo, who’s repeatedly proven their not interest in the power game, rules most of that thinking out. I think it should be a considerable jump over the Switch, but anyone expecting a XSX level jump like so many now-debunked rumors about its specs. DLSS will help considerably with some of that jump, but I fully expect a machine that’s firmly between last and current gen. It works for Nintendo since their fans (including me) will buy just about anything they put out, but I’m not sure that it will have the same reach the original did.

I think it’ll boil down to price and whether the same people who jumped on the “get a switch” bandwagon will be willing to do so again. I expect it to do well if it’s $400 or less and I hope we get at least 1080p/60 when docked. Power wise, if they can achieve PS4/Xbox One, I think that will more than satisfy people.
I’m expecting the worst from them though.

NVidia: We have this awesome video chip which does 4k@60fps and HDR+ and then we have this chip without HDR and its 1 cent cheape

personally i dont see my self buying something that doest have access on gamepass. xbox handheld could substitute a switch 2 for me.
