Same here, I downloaded Gears 1 Ultimate a few days ago, played some chapters and the game is still freakin’ awesome. I was surprised by how much more difficult the game is when compared to the rest of the series…like Hardcore is just a tiny bit easier than what Insane is on Gears 2-5, enemies are aggressive AF and you get a lot of damage even by Hammerbursts…though to be fair HB is really good in this game, in both the MP AND the campaign.
Also Gears 1 still has the best Gnasher and the best OST in the series IMO. Can’t wait for E-Day, I have a feeling that this game is gonna be something truly special.
Decided to finally check out Nintendo Switch Online with all the retro games.
Since I never finished Ocarina of Time (I know) I decided to check it out. It immediately reminds me you of how there was not a lot of handholding back in the day. I had to find the Deku Tree and completely forgot where that was after SO many years. And you can easily go the wrong way. Had to find a sword and this happens to be in a area after a crawlspace.
Since a remake or remaster has not been announced, I think it’s time to go for it. And I’ll grab a guide for the water temple, since that’s where we got lost as kids back then and never went back to it.
I had Fighting Force for the PS1. It was pretty awful. To this day I think damn this could have become SOR4. Thankfully Sega wasn’t dumb enough to let that happen. Funny thing is Core ended not putting it on the Saturn. (Diehard Arcade was a vastly superior 3D beat em up anyway) The less said about Fighting Force 2 the better. Still sucks to see things like this skipping xbox though. Especially when it’s something actually worth playing.
