If only Halo could get this kind of Fallout treatment. Hoping they learn. I would love to see a Halo series done this good. Can we have Jonathan Nolan work on a new Halo series.

The Halo series on Paramount has been successful, it’s what you’ll have for the foreseeable future.

I’m not sure it’ll be possible, atleast in live action.
You really need an absurd budget for it and I know it might be controversial here but Halo has never really had strong plot at any point (the games that is, can’t speak to the books). Lore isn’t plot to me.

I never really played any Fallout games in my life. It might be a dumb question, but do I need to play Fallout 3 before Fallout 4 ?
I don’t think there’s any real story reason to do so. You might understand the overall lore a bit better if you do though, but I wouldn’t consider it all that important.

I find it insane that they’re just sitting on the Fallout and Elder Scrolls IP. They should at least be working on spinoffs that are similar to NV. The franchises are hot and its crazy you have to go back to a 10 year old game to find the current single player entry of the game

“just sitting” they’re actively working on The Elder Scrolls VI and we have no idea what is or is not going on with Fallout. BGS makes those games, I’m sure if someone came to them with a great idea for a spin-off they’d give it a listen. As is they’re working full time on FO76 and ESO upkeep as both games have large, dedicated playerbases.

I really hope they are changing their save system. Beside that, it looks great.
2024 but no release date makes it look like it will be pushed to early 2025 though.

I think I either bought it and then it soon ended up in my backlog, or maybe not even that, it’s possible it was on Game Pass too back then.
You have something to look forward to then, this is looking very good. The team has grown in size a lot, therefore they were able to do much more now. The stuff they are promising here truly sounds very good. Combat has been made more accessible while still keeping the feel of the first one.

Tbf the last TES was 13 years ago. And didn’t Chris Avellone said Bethesda rejected a potentially TES spin-off by Obsidian ?
I wouldn’t really compare a single player experience to GaaS like FO76 and ESO. And it’s not like Bethesda Maryland develope those games.
I don’t think any of that refutes what I said. They’re not “sitting” on the IP, they have games out for it now that are constantly updated and successful. Chris Avelone has said a lot of things, and again we don’t know the quality of the pitch or anything else.
I know we all love single player games, but live service titles are more important to the actual companies because they continue to make money for far longer.
