Glad to see them advertising Halo - the new series is awesome and I personally found Infinite to be great, really wish theyād carried on with campaign DLC as it seemed to be set up for.
Gives me hope of seeing a new Halo game announced in the next few years too

I know Pachter is usually āout thereā but I think this is actually feasible within 10 years. The industry has already changed so much since 2014.
As costs for consumers continue to balloon and the sheer amount of content continues to grow I suspect more people will lean to subscriptions just like they did with Film & TV.
In another 10 we will likely have GamePass on a Xbox mobile store and Xbox handhelds.
Then youāve also got cloud, which in another 10 years will likely just be a mainstream app on any smart device including TV, with low latency and access to all our games. If they combine this with some kind of promo where they send you a free controller when you sign upto GP on your TV it would likely blow up!

Finished Ni No Kuni 2 just now. Plenty of side quests too until I got to the point where itās really the same old shit over and over again. The only reason to do them is for the EXP and money. Easier than the first one, which Iām very okay with.
It did some stuff better than 1, it did some stuff worse. Still, had a good time with it. Now what to play next? Continue with Starfield, or perhaps start with Tales of Arise? Hogwarts? Iāll think on it, lol.

I agree it is very feasible. To me itās seems Xbox has always been too focused on growing the industry and finding new customers outside the current console one that theyāve paid no mind to competing. Hell blade 2 could be the start of something different though as this might be the first truly current gen looking game that solidifies the move to current gen. Also, some of the breaking news Jez reported today does seem like there moving quickly on their growth plans for Xbox console, PC and Game Pass. They have been working a lot on the Microsoft store as of late and Iāve even heard that it has improved a lot and is only beat a little by steam. I would like to believe that there is a lot of work being done behind closed doors now that once COD releases it will be off to the races.

Iāll suggest Hogwarts Legacy. Tales of Arise is really good but I would try to mix it up and save it for after Hogwarts.
