There was a post from them that basically said we are legit. I don’t blame anyone after The Day Before. Hell, I was saying the same for Palworld and thankfully, I was proven wrong.
It’s definitely the way to go for the best $/GB, just you run the risk of drive failures not being replaced by the manufacturer. From what I remember WD will probably replace them (though not always) and Seagate won’t do it. That said I think the WDs also required some messing with a power pin to get them to spin up, plus there was the whole SMR vs. CMR debacle that happened a couple of years ago. I stopped shucking because it wasn’t worth the potential headache.
Currently in the process of rebuilding the parity drive in my Unraid server after upgrading to a 12tb. Probably should have went with a 20TB to save myself from needing to do the process again in the near term, but I’m cheap.

yeah i thought of shucking one but the ones i linked looks nice to me and yeah about the whole SMR vs CMR so i’m thinking of grabbing it even though the common complaint for these datacenter drives is they are kind of noisy but my nas will be tucked in a media center and barely anyone is in the living room

Many thought that about Wukong as well though and that’s coming this August.
It was the gameplay itself, not the graphics. As in how the combat looks, the movement and how reactive it was. It did not look like something that a player could provide meaningful input and achieve.
for plex pass users whats the difference from the annual and the lifetime pass
Phantom is only said to release this year. Wukong for now is on Palworld outcome in terms of being real. Phantom could follow or be The Day Before. I believe the main concern is that they came from mobile, so hard to grasp if the game will look this good or not.
One you pay annually the other is a one off fee.
Normally they do deals on the lifetime pass but you can setup a alert on HotUKDeals.

Yeah, the mobile stuff. But I give them the benefit of the doubt. Wukong dev only made mobile stuff before this too, didn’t they? It’s good to see what incredible steps can be made by some devs.
I don’t know but they did make that one multiplayer game for PC 8 years ago.

Unfortunately I don’t see anything in there other than ‘a handheld makes sense’. Hope there is more to it than that with the way he tweeted.
Admittedly i kind of trailed off towards the end cuz it seemed like it was just an opinion piece.

As per his another tweet, those projects are just green light now. So there is a long time before they can be confirmed as an actual products.
