I’d absolutely love having a pit crew that gave me info, that would be amazing

Real time combat FTW!!!

Hoping the KOTOR Remake copies Remake/Rebirth which I see as the perfect combination of real time combat with the option for turn based that slows down time but doesn’t slow down the pacing of the game’s combat.

Absolutely great ideas, I’m sure some version of this will be the future (because it also helps with accessibility)

There are a lot of experiments going on with Minecraft and building from prompts, would be great to see more AI driven contextual experiences.

But the more chill/slower pace plus the more strategic nature of it is what makes turn based combat great and unique. I love the more action-heavy oriented genres but not every game has to run at 200 kph to be interesting and fun. :stuck_out_tongue:

Eternal Strands sounds pretty cool btw, always in for more action-adventure games especially nowadays since we don’t see many games from this genre anymore…I am still waiting for Darksiders 4. T_T

Still new to this person, so I’m going to monitor. Same person with Persona 6 is happening and to all platforms, including Switch successor.

I’m pretty sure the F1 games have this, or at least you can use voice commands when you have a headset to check all that stuff with your engineer.

Unrelated, but yes, turn-based > action combat.

So even after an amazing year for releases, Starfield was the only single player game to breach the Top 10 most played games across Xbox and PlayStation (I’m guessing Hogwarts Legacy despite being the best selling didn’t have enough player hours logged to reach the top 10):

Does show why unfortunately multiplayer and live service games dominate so many plans, and does suggest exclusivity deals for single player games are a bit pointless - they don’t shift consoles like multiplayer ones do.

And given most of the top 10s aren’t first party or even properly exclusive, it does seem everyone’s playing the same stuff regardless of console

Also given that everyone’s playing the same stuff, I’m hoping Xbox really start to push experience improvements - streaming, Game Pass, Rewards and the store updates have been great, but I’d like to see some innovation in other areas too.

New controller features, new hooks (the thing Sony did where you can review notes you find in Last of Us 2 in the PlayStation phone app is actually a decent idea to me, copying the idea that Halo had with the mobile app / website for years and Destiny then did), and new experiences like a handheld or allowing PC stores.

Sony’s already played their hand in many ways, showing many of their recent innovations already and copying Xbox on others (Game Pass in particular) but I’m really interested to see what Xbox has cooking given how quiet they’ve been on the non-games front for the last few years

Stella blade has now become number 1 on the preorder list. Pre-orders | Official PlayStation™Store US I do wonder if this will stir change.

What change?

And you see why Xbox is nowhere in trouble anymore. In terms of growing platform itself, that’s where they want to repair, even with decisions that’s questionable to many here.

I got my brother’s PS5 for a while and played the demo. Pretty good demo. Not blown away but I will prob get it day 1. I liked how “video gamey” Eve felt to control (hard to explain but the movement controls just feel very fluent). The standard battle theme having lyrics took some time to grow on me, after watching someone play the demo a few days after playing it myself and hearing the music again I was like “Okay yeah, I wanna hear more.”

And most importantly, they give you a tiny tease of the dress up options in the demo, that’s what I wanna see the most  (not even talking about the hard-mode naked option lol, I wanna see how stylish you can get)

Side note: PS5 UI is a legitimate 0/10 to me (this is the first time I used one in “depth” and I was shocked I couldn’t use my Bluetooth headset and had to link it to my TV instead of the console. I pity anyone moving on from Xbox to PS5 over PC, I seriously couldn’t handle that (and I’m a PS4 owner) LMAO.

Not played the demo but have heard a lot of good about it and it sort of reminded me of Ninja Gaiden. That game to me is still the best action /hack and slash game ever made. i was just wondering with Totoki taking over the move might be different seeing this promotion of the game and the Tales of Kenzera now going to PS Plus.

I was just considering how the talk of all sexuality has been quite hot lately. Xbox has been blasted a lot and Sony been quiet. If Stella blade performs well Sony might tone down the censorship and who knows go after more games like this. Hopefully project DT still comes to Xbox.

I wouldn’t bet on it. Part of me think they did it because of need of more games and one that has fanbase from the mobile game. Basically, they probably swallowing their pride for this occasion. The rest who doesn’t have strong connection will get the censor hammer.

Sorry I’m one of them! I do think they can do some things to modernise their games while retaining the feel of a Bethesda game though

The main two things making them feel dated for me is the loading screens and facial animations.

lol

Their procedural facial animations are probably best in class. You’re comparing mo-capped animations in other games to procedural animations which is not a fair comparison.

For a lot of people it solely seems to be about how she looks, that’s definitely the impression I’m getting on Twitter. Who cares if the gameplay is worth a damn? Lmao.

there is a GTA subscription service? what?!
