Looking it up, yeah, it’s still per person but I don’t know if there’s combos and packages when buying tickets because it’s been over a decade since I last went to a theatre. I guess you could sneak in food and stuff. When I went last, it was a spur of the moment thing as opposed to being planned out. Either way, it’s still expensive when you consider a movie lasts maybe two hours on average.
True, the publisher wants as much money as possible but they know if a game is going to hit or not. They’re rarely off in this regard. They know what a game is truly worth in regards to maximizing sales. A game like Helldivers 2 is perfect at $40 but would be too much at $70 in my opinion.
Yeah, I get this but at the same time, the shorter the game, the less likely it is to wear out it’s welcome or turn bad all of a sudden. The longer/bigger the game, the more likely the interest will decrease as you’re progressing through the game. Of course, if Rush was $70, would it be worth that price? That would be up to each individual. Both great games though.
That’s true. The richer a person or company is, the cheaper they are and the more they want. They’re never ever satisfied or content with what they have.
GameFly is disc based mail rental subscription service. I pay $33 a month plus tax so under $36 for two games a month. I have the elite plan which allows me to “lock” two games a month to ensure that they get shipped out to me the day of or before release. I have to wait about 3-5 days to receive the game but it’s still far cheaper than buying games for $70 each.
For example, I rented Banishers and should get Granblue Fantasy Relink this week. Add in Rise of the Ronin which I have locked and will get since I completed and mailed back Banishers this past Monday so I’ll have a slot open with Granblue taking up the second slot. After Rebirth, I will play Granblue and then ship that back once I complete it so I guarantee Stellar Blade will be shipped out to me. Total cost for every game excluding Rebirth would have cost me $260. Even if I traded them in for let’s say half price, I would still have paid at least $130 for all four games.
I just started the second month of GameFly (my bill date is the 2nd) so I have spent $72 including tax. Will increase to double that by the time I get to May. So $144 but that will also allow me to rent out Prince of Persia, Outcast, Suicide Squad and Skull & Bones.
Basically, it all comes down to how many games a month you rent and can complete. For me, I can average two games a month for both aspects. Rarely does a game take a month or more for me to complete.
As for the internet connection, after I install the game disc, I download the updates/patches and that’s it. I’m good to play.
