Death Stranding 2 is an immediate W for me.

Everything else is just a bonus…. Or confusion (looking at you Silent Hill 2).:rofl:

Well at least Sony fans won’t have to worry about FUD showing up suspiciously just before their SOP to steer the conversation away from any announcements and gameplay shown. Which is always nice.

Don’t even get me started on the near-omission of any comparable reaction to Sony’s layoffs last year, and then of course we have instances like this where we absolutely won’t see any deep dives into the incoming Insomniac layoffs, or anything remotely negative reported about Sony leading up to these things. What people don’t realize is that this goes well beyond “just” an anti-Xbox bias; by refusing to hold all corps accountable on the same baseline, journalists are spinning the reality of our industry as “just another Xbox fuck up”, therefore being complicit in the actual problem and doing a massive disservice to gamers and devs, alike. By refusing to recognize the layoffs equally, and any other subject, journalists are complicit in allowing every other party in the equation to continue their same trend of increasing CEO/executive payouts, shareholder buybacks, etc. without recourse; when you create a singular target, it draws attention away from the many. Unionization and a complete shift in executive payouts (think the taxation and regulations we had during Eisenhower’s years that created a more equitable system, for example) are the first steps in correcting the issue, and by refusing to address the latter problem universally, journalists are doing the bidding of their own corporate overlords: distraction and division.

It’s why independent journalism is so important right now… one only need to look at how the media have had all their reporting sanitized to the whims of the controlling parties in a certain ongoing “conflict”.

I got to say, it is weird how they know more on PS leak than PS specialist and hell, more than Xbox stuff. Sure they will know projects, but they’re not guaranteed to live long enough to see the light. So yeah, kind of funny when you think about it.

And the fact that what came out of this was a romanticization of Nintendo… sigh. With that attitude people aren’t gonna change shit in this system and if anything it’s as you said, certain companies get cover and only few get scrutinized and it all ends up not mattering.

Glad I picked mine up the other day something told me to grab all the Sonic games I could off CDKeys grabbed MK Kollection for Steam off Amazon too couldn’t find it anywhere else.

They said they were working on a sequel after Exodus, but since the invasion of Ukraine by russia, it’s hard to know. It must have impacted them like GSC with STALKER 2.

Here I am, still hoping for at least a Metro 2033/Last Light rerelease on current gen consoles with 4K resolution and all the bell and whistles. I would buy that in an instant.

That’s why I said reboot. It doesn’t have to be the same thing. I just think Blinx being a cat has a better chance of being redesigned to look really cool, cute and appealing to a huge demographics. The other characters you mentioned just seem far from the appealing kind of platformers needed. Look at Sonic for example the design looks quite nice, but the story and gameplay just isn’t that great. Something like Ori for example in my opinion would be the kind of template to follow. A Blinx game with a format like Ori I think would be really nice. I think you would be surprised at the redesigns CO PILOT would generate and maybe see my point a bit clearer.

But why reboot something that was never popular to begin with?

They already have popular characters in those 3 that they could morph into other genre’s and do new stuff with than bringing back characters and games nobody liked anyway

Maybe reboot is the wrong term. How about just the character and name reframed. The 3 you mentioned again as you said are already popular and redesigning or morphing would be very difficult assuming it ever works. I just used Blinx since they own the IP. They could easily make a new IP with a cool looking cat, hedgehog or whatever character. Search Search

“Reimagined” is the word you’re looking for.

So, Suicide Squad is out in the wild… Yeah.

  • Played Palworld the other day and nope, not for me. lol

  • The Metro game being for PSVR 2 is disappointing but if true, it is what it is.

  • Looking forward to the State of Play on Wednesday. Hoping to get a release date for Stellar Blade.
