They (Nintendo and Game Freak) don’t stand a chance, the only weak argument could be some similar monsters design, but otherwise there is no trademark nor copyright issue, also the derivative design of pals is a grey area where you need to prove two elements are indistinguishable from each other and we know they are.
I know it only affected the square game, but hopefully everything is okay with the game they’re working on with Microsoft

I doubt MS would cut the budget mid-development, maybe only if it’s a trainwreck, but there is no info about it.

I find it hilarious how the gap in sale between Xbox and PS cannot be excused but with Meta Quest and PSVR2, it’s very reasonable. Just heard the Quest outsold it 30 to 1.

Was it known that they were doing another Square game? I’m kind of surprised. Post launch it seemed like Square kind of gave up on Outriders and as of this past summer the game hadn’t made a profit, did it?

Apple is definitely getting scared that their monopoly is getting broken up after legal loss after legal loss (EU doing a lot of the heavy lifting when other countries are abdicating their duties)… come on universe, there’s a lot more balancing of the scales that need to be done (not just in the tech industry space ).
