Lock it down provide some support to get the game into the best shape it can be, help to get it on mobile as a native app, advertise the hell out of it.
Yep. Over 3m in sales in 40 hours. Breaking records on Steam. I definitely agree.
Sitting at #1 for current players at the moment.
On Steam?
Damn. Shit is on fire!!
Yeah. Iâm not sure how often MS updates the top paid listing, but itâs not appearing there yet.
I think itâs at least every 2-3 days, at least 3 days has been the shortest time I have seen.
Give it till Monday.
I played a few more hours of Palworld and it opened up quite a bit. I unlocked the abilities to ride a wolf and am working on a bird saddle so I can fly too. I also made a grappling gun which is making traversal a bit more fun (though it does have a ten(!) second cooldown.)
The tone is very odd, like am I the weirdo for seeing this and raising an eyebrow?
Pokedex entry aside, note the âsuspiciousâ and âstrangeâ juices which I believe are medicine you can make to boost work speed at the cost of sanity. I skimmed the daycare equivalent description and it says that cake is necessary for reproduction as well.
Also I accidentally caught a human and the game did NOT like it:
This happens every time I try to look at its stats, I think itâs saying something like âBPClass designation name Human is incorrectâ Itâs clearly something thatâs supposed to be possible to do, since the Pokedex entry that popped up when I caught it said something along the lines of âIn Palworld, enslaving people is considered inhumaneâ but it doesnât have an actual entry in the menu. It also has special text for partner skill, something like âSince humans are not pals, there is no partner skill possible.â and his only skill is punch which has a unique description as well.
Anyway I tried to release him because you know but it just dropped the ball and itâs hovering in the air lodged into my HQ PC now.
This post made my evening. Thank you.
Sections of the Nintendo fanbase are fuming at Palworldâs success. Even calling for Nintendo to sue them and have the game shutdown
I think they are not enough.
The only similarities are throwing a ball to capture a creature and the designs of the creatures could be considered derivatives of Pokemon. However, Nintendo hasnât sued others that have made derivative creatures. The question any judge would ask is why Nintendo has not gone after others. The answer canât be because Palworlds is more successful.
The actual gameplay is so far from Pokemon. What Nintendo should be doing is getting together to discuss making their own Pokemon open world survival game (with less edgy themes).
I tried PalWorld for 10 mins before deciding itâs not for me. Felt like a clunky but generic survival game.
Guess tons of others disagree.
Not sure much more proof is needed to show how player counts etc donât necessarily correlate to specific genres or levels of originality and polish. Next time thereâs some useless psycho drama about an Xbox gameâs success, remember it.
This is what I learned from many steam games released over the year.
There is certainly an expectation of polish from bigger studios. All big studios suffer from this (most)
Palworld is janky and performs poorly sometimes. But it is hardly reflected in its player count and user review score.
But i am certain if the same game was made by Rare for example, they would have been scrutinized to the death of the game.
I call it big studio tax.

While this came off as old man yelling at cloud, I just now remember that PoP did release around the same time as PalWorld. Therefore, the worst case is the latter stole all the momentum/thunder from it alas Horizon effect. I hope PoP does well in sale but something tells me PalWorld will receive more hate due to it.
