I knew Palworld would be a hit somewhat lol. Xbox has some misses but one thing they know is how to find a potential viral hit games that is meme worthy and streamer friendly. Even before Palworld, they had High on Life.
As for the general discourse about the direct and everything, the other fanbase is deprive of water from their corporate overlords. When they have nothing to play( or be excited for), they gather to sh*t on the other side to make themselves feel better. I guess Helldivers 2 and FF7 rebirth aināt enough. This is just the beginning, next year will be even worse for them as they will be running out of excuses.

This aint game related but did give me a hearty laugh today. If this is the unintentional hijinks the advent of AI brings then i for one am ready for the chaos.
Tell you what, I want Guerilla to announce an awesome looking Killzone sequel just to see if everyoneās debilitating motion sickness that prevents them from enjoying first person games suddenly clears upā¦
Isnāt Fairgames and/or Concord FPS?
The same motion sickness that doesnāt happen when playing Metroid Prime
The utter lies the console-warriors are spouting at certain places is pathetic.
You donāt even have to go to Guerilla and Killzone, as according to multiple legal filings, the most critical game on PlayStation is COD, which is a First Person Shooter.
But thats an fps being an fps. Clearly Indy is supposed to be tps forced into being a fps /s
Indy supposed to be gun blazing, taking out 10 enemies all at once in 5 seconds all the time.
First person is less popular than third person, which is why Microsoft is forcing their studios to make first person games. This is logical and makes sense and definitely not some goalpost moving mental gymnastics.
The idea that MachineGames, a studio that has shown a mastery of the first-person perspective, was āforcedā into making it into an FPS is one of the most idiotic, laughable ideas Iāve seen too (people are actually making this argument). Nevermind the fact that MG more than likely experimented with all of the perspective variations and combos, and settled on this because they know they can make it well, as opposed to forcing it into a third-person perspective just to ācompeteā with Uncharted and Tomb Raiderā¦.
The obsession with perspective is one of the most non-issue issues Iāve seen perpetuated for years⦠only after Sony moved exclusively to making third-person titles. There are legitimate motion-sickness issues that some people have with any perspective; I know first-hand because thatās my wife. She is unable to watch me play any flying games (regardless of whether Iām in or out of the cockpit) and will get nauseous if she watches me play SoT (she can play herself, but when watching a player she doesnāt control the camera for, the waves cause her to almost vomit), among plenty of other examples. To me this is another example of petulant losers using an actual disability some people have to push their pathetic console warring bullshit⦠itās gross and I absolutely judge those people harshly (as they deserve).
But my dude. Doom is fine. Its an fps. Halo if fine. Its an fps. Any game Sony is fine if its an fps, its an fps.
But my dude, Indy is not first person, its secretly a tps with a hacked fps mod! My dude those are the only games that give me motion sickness.
/sarcasm
Warzone should be total ban from the world. Think of the children getting motion sickness!
Didnāt you hear Daniel, we gamers want new things and new ideas. Like, I just want an Uncharted with a different story and skin. Thatās originality. Going against the grain and making a first person Indiana Jones game is not original is just something forced by the publisher.
I saw one of these pathetic comments⦠Itās just spewing BS at this point.
I get that people can get dizzy playing video games, but you donāt need to tell everyone. Itās your problem. Xbox has so many FPS that Iām not sure why these guys are still interested in the platform.
And I say that while I would prefer a 3rd person Indy.
People have every right preferring whatever they prefer and voicing their preference, but somehow this canāt be done without some weird entitlement and ridiculous accusations of intent and questioning of peopleās talent and work.
Iām fine with peopleās preference, but donāt be slandering the developers and act like you speak for everyone.
My favorite is when the veil drops and it just becomes Gamersā¢ļø trying to act like they know better than devs, despite the fact that a single āifā statement would break these peopleās brainsā¦
FPS is the most popular genre in the world, a majority of popular GAAS games are FPS. Call of Duty, Battlefield, Apex Legends, Rainbow 6 siege, Destiny, Overwatch, CS Go, Sea of Thieves. Even some FPS single player games such as Doom, Far Cry, Bethesda Games( they are build with first person in mind), Cyberpunk 2077 etc. are pretty popular. A decade of Sony dominance skewed the perception in gaming that 3rd person is ākingā, because thatās what its fan base play all the time, but casual gamers are likely playing more FPS most of the time.
I think itās a fair share between TPS and FPS in popular games. If you like one perspective religiously for some reason, youāre always gonna think thereās too much of the other even if itās not true whatsoever.
