and this was back in the ps3 days when GTA was still huge but not the monster it is today, after GTAVās sales Iām not convinced we will ever see something like an RDR from Rockstar again

Itās cool to see Starfield continuing to do so well everywhere. Itās very tough for singleplayer only games too on that list, and almost three months after launchā¦ Awesome.
I honestly donāt because from Rockstars perspective, why spend a generation working on a game which is what it will take to make RDR3 when they could spend a generation working on GTA 7 instead?
The games take too long and take too many people for them to be spent working on something that will not make anywhere close to what GTA makes
RDR2 was lucky it started dev years before GTA5/online exploded the way it did because if it didnāt Iād be surprise it it ever existed at all with modern R*, itās already sold 60m copies and even that 's not enough for R* to bother supporting the online because why bother with it when they can just support GTA instead
We will definitely get a RDR3 but agree itās a very sad situation. Potentially risky too if someone releases a more popular GTA rival in the future.
Atleast they are working with Remedy to bring back Max Payne, but it was more interesting when they were bringing out games like LA Noire, Warriors, Bully & Midnight Club.

But this brings me to something the CEO of TT said a few years ago. Wanting Rockstar to make GTA smaller, so that we could expect more games more often from them. This clearly hasnāt come to fruition yet, but it makes me wonder if that might happen after GTA 6? Maybe we can get back to having multiple (smaller) Rockstar games like in the 360 days? Yeah, very likely no chance of that. But if they did, we could be seeing a Bully 2. It would be a way smaller game than GTA or RDR.
If itās truly just one game per generation nowā¦Jesus, man.

Imagine if Halo gets ahead of OW2. I think the key for Halo is getting people to give the game another chance. Some of my friends that dropped it early went back to it, and itās now in their rotation for MP games.
Starfield is still doing so well as a single-player only game. Really great to see !

I donāt know anything about business but is it wise to put all your eggs in one basket like that? No argument that GTA prints money and I donāt see much changing that but if the winds change then theyāre totally exposed. Do they have any shareholders to reassure or anything?
