Random non-gaming related story/question:
I am a 56 year old man. Until a few days ago I had never read a manga in my life. My only exposure to anime was via osmosis when my children were much younger and still lived with me.
Despite this, a few days ago I had an overwhelming compulsion to start reading One Piece. So I am now the proud owner of the first four boxed sets of the manga - containing volumes 1 - 90 (the first 910 issues).
Since Monday I have read the first fifteen volumes. Clearly this has significantly cut into my free (i.e. gaming) time.
So the question is, am I losing my mind? Is this a late-mid-life crisis?
In all seriousness, I watched the Netflix adaptation of One Piece last week and completely fell in love with it. Over the following days I couldnāt get the characters out of my head and was desperate to learn where the story went next. So, I decided to take the plunge.
My son has been telling me for years that One Piece is āone of the greatest works of fiction of all time.ā So he is thrilled with this decision. Iām sure my students would be thrilled as well. But I havenāt told anyone who is close to my age yetā¦ Ha.

Manga is great. You should only be worried when you start obsessively reading Shoujo manga and/or the equivalent Korean Manhwa. My wife finds it amusing that I like it more than her.

Shoujo means mangas targeted towards girls. One Piece is a Shonen manga, its targeted towards teen boys.

Tempted, but I want to see what the specs for switch 2 looks like. Then Iāll decide if I want a deck or windows handheld . The ease of gamepass with windows handheld makes it more tempting but weāll see
