Important ? No. Big ? Yes.
He eclipses the nobodies that you guys post here.
For example, his Starfield review is as big as the #2nd and #3rd biggest review on YouTube combined.
I’m not a fan of his content at all but he’s certainly popular lol.

I can only guess his opinion on Starfield, especially if he’s biased.
Now and then I watch some of his videos and they can be entertaining, but surprised he apparently is that big.
He’s very popular but he’s a tool
Deliberately plays games wrong/badly to make them look worse than they actually are and when he gets called out on stupid takes he defends it by claiming his “reviews” are just jokes
He’s just the usual clown you’ll find on twitter only he has an audience, unfortunately
The final game is nowhere close to this visually. It’s like a generation and a half ahead of what we got.
Yeah, it’s not even close. But did Sony or Insomniac ever claim this was ingame? Because if they did, I guess Sony hasn’t shed itself of their BS (since Killzone 2 trailer) completely, lol.
No his audience is definitely way bigger than consolewar twitter and probably 70x the size of XboxEra. His videos regularly get over a million views and Twitch streamers do react videos to his reviews, which generates more views. Some of his videos have 30 million views.
People I know irl who don’t game that much watch his stuff. His words speak louder than anyone from IGN or GameSpot for that matter.
I kinda lost interest in his videos when he claimed xbox was gonna quit the console business for sure within a year or so.
Sounds more like him just wishing that. Which is just silly and sad.
No claims of in game from what I can see but they did boast about it being real time
I agree, since some devs already seem to have trouble dealing with PC, PS5 and both Xboxes. If the PS5 Pro and Switch 2 are real/strong enough they’ll definitely take precedence over a third Xbox SKU.
It’s hard to tell if he’s being ironical, if he’s sincere, or if he started out ironically but bought into the response he got it and became the bit. I’m not a fan either.
Yeah, it definitely isn’t that.
Hate to sound like a broken record but I keep seeing new bugs and glitches in clips on Twitter from SM2. One even so bad where the final boss is invisible.
…yeah.
I’m not gonna say I think reviewers have been paid off, but something is not right here. Cyberpunk got blasted to hell because of these kind of things on launch day. Heh.
Watched my brother play it for a bit. Looked like a usual polished high production value Sony game to me. I’m not into Sony’s at all (and no intention of getting a PS5) but I understand the scores.
I did encounter an Xbox console war account on Twitter who posted like 100 Spider Man 2 hate clips in the span of like 4 hours. Now hopefully nobody here gets carried away like that lol.
I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but I think game reviewers should have to record their gameplay sessions to prove they actually play the games they review. It would also allow us to see what they saw and it would hopefully force them to be a bit more objective and honest if they knew people could call them out on their bullshit.
And yet much like IGN and the rest it didn’t matter one bit to Starfield in the end when it came to sales. When stepping out of the internet/social media bubble one will often find that the people who’s opinions we think matter , in the grand scheme or things really don’t. I think this is half the source of the salt and anger over Starfield not flopping like many wanted it to due to the massive FUD campaign directed at it by Gaming media and Certain Youtubers. Average joeblow doesn’t know or give a shit what a Dunky is but they see that huge ass Starfield billboard on a bus . That’s not even mentioning Gamepass which makes their opinions that much more irrelevant
A critic’s comment about the game making its predecessors seem obsolete is another proof of the low level of reviewers in this industry.
I’m about three hours into the game. Have only done two main story missions and some side activities which is the same or similar to the first two games and just open world games in general. It’s not a 10/10 but in fairness, no game for me personally has ever been a 10/10 so no surprise here. The opening is better than the vast majority of games out there because it does get you excited and into the game. The weakest aspect a few hours in appears to be the optional side content which isn’t surprising as this plagues the vast majority if not every open world game. But we’ll see. I have a long ways to go!!! lol

It only took 6 years…
Ah yes. One of the grandest tragedy of Xbox One Era. Bizarre how it was close to launch and decided to cancel.
I can agree to this, no game is obsolete because a new one arrives. Those games literally paved the way for anything the new ones are doing and so many of them are still so fun to play.
