Sure didn’t work on DC movies this year. But I get it. All I’m saying is patience. Also, game is already selling strong in Steam, which is a great sign. Zelda didn’t need huge marketing and it’s doing incredibly well. Same can be said for Starfield with the name recognition behind it. Of course, Xbox wants more, so off the races they go.

I’m pretty critical of Xbox’s marketing but all this concern is overblown.
It’s trending almost every single day on Twitter, granted it’s mostly because of console war clownery but it’s still trending lol.
They’ll ramp it up soon and if the game is as good as we all hope it is, the early reactions and early access word of mouth will put the hype into overdrive mode.
It’ll all work itself out.

I’m one of those who wants more and better (its fun) marketing from Xbox in general, so pretty much blocked by everyone here I guess. But it’s way too soon for marketing Starfield, I would expect it to kick in a week or so before early access and then go quite hard at launch. I mean it’s not like pre-orders really is a concern for Xbox anymore, it’s about Game Pass anyway.

And it really isn’t that big of a deal, but some enthusiasm from their marketing team on Twitter would be cool. Something like…are you ready to get lost in space in “amount of days”, just to get all the fans who follow them a bit extra hyped and all that.
Redfall got a staircase, that looked dope! Starfield could get a big billboard or something. Ah well, it’s soon anyway now.
Didn’t they do that? I remember someone posting a tweet with the official Starfield account saying 29 days until early access.

while I do feel like xbox should be marketing starfield more I do believe because the game is gonna have legs like other bethesda titles they feel like they dont have to market it as much. It wont be like other games that have most of its sales the first or 2nd week then drops off. its gonna sell a lot and get played a lot over time.

I’d love to see a ad at the cinema next week when I go for a new movie, that would just be a cool surprise. But The Netherlands is PS land, any gaming ads in the cinema are exactly that, meh.
I’m quite curious how many XSX units is going to sell. Obviously with Game Pass there are more options for those that don’t want a Xbox console, but still, I’d imagine Xbox receiving plenty new console customers.

I played it last year on PS5 for around 10 hours or so. It’s good but I couldn’t get past the side quests not having voice acting and being in Chinese with no English dubbing only made it worse for me. Visuals are great, good music and combat is really good. Outside of what I mentioned above, I remember the HUD and text being so damn small which was an issue for me and wasn’t completely into the story as I just wasn’t into reading it all. If anything, it was way more a “me” problem as opposed to the game which was really good from what I played.

Definitely not a you problem in my opinion, the part about the text being so small. The demo had this and it was crazy. Especially the text on the right side of the screen, showing the current objectives. Even with a 65 incher I had to move closer to the screen to read it. I wish games came with font size options by default.
Yeah, all the text is so damn small that it reminded me when I first played Xbox 360 on a CRT TV. I couldn’t see any of the text. lol
Sony fanboys and gaming media are doing most of the Starfield advertising for Bethesda/Xbox. It’s been trending on Twatter ( no I ain’t callin it X) for the past few days. Also in the mouth of nearly every fuckboy "gaming " Youtuber these days.

Anyone who played Judgement & Lost Judgement.
I recently finished Judgement, loved it. How different is the sequel, meaning is it too much of the same gameplay-wise that I better wait a while before I play it?
