Playstation fans do but these are also the same fans that will be fine with FF being permanently moneyhatted but throw a stink because they won’t know if a game is coming to their platform or not for a couple of days
In other words, people that can’t be taken seriously
We discuss and criticize a lot about Xbox marketing and localization, Halo/343, Gears should be shelved, Xbox in Japan, PC first release while skipping console, Xbox 1. party output especially last year or some even calling Game Pass Indie Pass because of the lack of AAA games.
I’m seeing ponies trying to ridicule Starfield because it’s 30fps and in the same post they praise FF16. The demo of this game runs like dogwater in performance mode and the resolution isn’t great there. Quality mode is 30fps.
And I’m not even gonna start comparing these two games any further. They really aren’t the brightest these ponies, wow.
I’ve posted this exact wording many times but the hesitation to leave behind the PS4 with JP devs continues. I predicted once that it will only be left behind after the Switch 2 releases and that’s looking very likely now.
You are overstating how much “rage” there is over this marketing deal. Even if there wasn’t a platform announcement embargo, the same people you’re talking about would still act offended because MS dared to even market a JRPG at all.
There are people out there who don’t want MS welcome in the JP games space and there isn’t anything MS can do to please them. They definitely can’t just cut back on their JP game marketing to appease then.
But it was more of positive though. And honestly, I get it too. Xbox is getting an exclusive that isn’t Forza or Halo, titles that already established itself. It’s a title that is not only new IP but it’s made by a creator who has a single game that sold over 60 million. That’s a big deal.
I’m sure they will “keep that same energy” as soon as one of sony’s first party studios tries to push the cinematic and graphical limits of the PS5 and only has a 30fps mode as well, right?
You should worry about more important things. They paid for marketing and game pass deals, and not keeping the games off of other platforms. Full exclusivity is a dirty deal, not having to wait a few days to find out the platforms, ffs.
