I know most people want AAA games, but with Sony shutting down Pixelopus, (Media Molecule will probably be next if their next project doesn’t pan out) I think Xbox should double down on AA games to push things forward in terms of creativity and experimentation.
Most of Xbox’s successes in this generation have been on AA scale like Psychonauts 2, Grounded, Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush, so they should continue that approach imo.
Looking forward to Project MARA and whatever Double Fine comes up with next.
You know there was a kinda funny episode once where they discussed what studios they would swap between Xbox and Playstation if they could and the best answer to come up was Media molecule. That there is a studio that needs easier access to a wider audience, and if the studio ever shuts down I hope the dreamers at that team find their way over to Xbox to start anew.
The initial landing screen on this new dashboard is nice.
It’s everything else with it that needs a lot of work. You can’t customize any of the other aspects. They need to allow full customization to the rest of the dashboard. I hope the reason they haven’t included customization is they’re testing the default setup for brand new installations.
It’s great for a platform to explore two worlds (AA and AAA). It gives developers more chances to explore. Not to mention, they can transform to AAA down the road. They got to start somewhere.
I want Gears collection. I want Dishonored and Wolfenstein collections, I want RAGE 1 and 2 all in 4K 60FPS. I want Psychonauts 2 Director’s Cut with Ray tracing (I don’t know if it exists, but it should). All in Game Pass.
Meh, knowing Sony and their ways MGS3 is a full on exclusive. A proper 3D Castlevania only for PS5 would fucking suck. But once I’ve bought one it won’t be as much of a worry for me anymore.
And I am guessing a studio of their own will make it, can’t even be mad then.
Again 3 games I’ve never played or cared about, it’s funny because it’s the same situation as all the Square stuff they keep paying for and I guess I’m lucky I’m never hit by the BS.
On another note I love these marketing trailers for Series S + Game Pass the song is super catchy hah
Do we know that is true though? Silent Hill for example is being made by Bloober, and Sony seems to be just involved with marketing. We don’t know the teams behind these games, so it’s not definitive to know if it’s a street fighter situation.
No, we don’t know that. I just know that Konami has been doing nothing for a long time. In my mind if they are back it is because someone brought them back, but that’s just my assumption.
