What i want to really know is… What are the functionality? way more important to me then how it looks. Can i access everythng on the homescreen? or do i have to navigate through many layer to find what i need, which to me is counter-productive. Choosing looks over functionality is a step backwards.
I hope you are right, cause some people don’t like using the guide, me included. Choosing looks over actual functionality, is a disaster waiting to happen.
Yeah, I don’t use the guide much either, sometimes for the settings because I keep forgetting the settings icon is at the top right of the main dashboard. But stuff like my games and apps I always go via the dashboard.
Well I did suggest something similar recently in the bing thread. I imagined one of the Grand Theft Auto 6 characters should be a disgraced Texas football player.
Well looking at their games list it still seems mostly Angry Birds based. I’d guess it must still be pretty popular given the revenue chart saintsflow20 shared.
Goes to show how little folks know about what people are playing on their phones lol. I haven’t heard anyone mention Angry Birds in years but I suppose the folks that play aren’t talking about it.
Or we just don’t happen to talk to the people who do. I totally wouldn’t have guessed it was as successful as it is either, I guess I don’t follow the mobile market enough.
It’s like with Candy Crush. I wasn’t even aware that it’s making so much money that everyone will wish one for their platform. I don’t know about Take Two purchase but for Microsoft, it’s going to be a big win.
Just like how there is millions of people who play Roblox everyday and we don’t hear a single peep about it, not as big as Roblox but I put SoT in that sort of category, great community support but people dont talk about it in forums and such.
Unfortunate to see. Not that I can tell you what the problem is in these images lol, but clearly there is one. I just really hope they’re not machine translating all these bad localizations that are always talked about because that’s just disrespectful
Man, Arabic language is some kind of tool to easily belittle Xbox. Don’t get me wrong, I would like them to get everything in place and more for others to enjoy, but at this rate by social media standard, it’s like another “can it play Crysis” level.
I understand that Playstation has a dominating presence in much of the world, therefore it makes sense that Sony has invested much more in Arabic localization (and other languages)
But doing a bad job at localization could be worse than not doing it at all.
Imagine buying a JRPG with an English localization, only to discover that not everything is translated, and the English subtitles are displayed from right to left.

To top it off the game’s achievements are only displayed in Japanese .
Well you’ll have to forgive me, bad localizations are probably one of my biggest bones to pick with MS (despite that technically it doesn’t affect me personally). It’s just something I take seriously. Look at the game I posted above, to me that game should not even be sold on the English marketplace, yet there it is. Now, I can’t get too mad at that game because it was probably made by 1 person, but that’s the experience many other people in other languages get with Xbox games (it is not just Arabic).
Earlier today I posted about Atelier Ryza 3, that’s another game with a bad English localization. Nowhere near as bad as the game I posted above, it’s passable but it’s noticeably amateurish. But still, I’m obviously not gonna hold Gust to the same standard I’d expect from -Microsoft-.
