Read my post again. If a game is developed for 30fps. RDR2 was. It was developed for 30, an absolute crap ton of time was spent on the animations to make them look great at 30fps. 3rd person games can get away with running at 30 easier than shooters can.

that’s a fault of marketing, which i myself pointed out. it doesn’t make xbox users second class citizens, which is hwat he said.
I agree with Klob on that console seems to be the last priority for Xbox nowadays.

?? Marketing isn’t some third party company. They are part of Microsoft. When you see a Nintendo or Sony game being demoed, or preview videos THAT is the title you are getting visually. When you see an Xbox title, you are seeing the PC iteration and will be getting a lesser version on console. Thats a reality. The best place to play Xbox isn’t on Xbox, its PC. Therefore playing on Xbox is second best aka second class.

loved how you all ignored pc gamepass having less games are obssessed with 30fpsgate. not something that matters materially with regards to xbox business plan.
the pc version being lesser or greater depends on your hardware, genius.

“2nd class citizen” is a bad term to use, and overall I disagree. Arkane has never had great console ports so this is par for their course and not “xbox” not caring about console.

You’re making a ton of assumptions here, and glossing over a lot of the downgrades we’ve seen on plenty of Sony titles (big surprise). You, nor anyone else, knows whether the builds we’ve seen were Xbox or PC, and as I told someone on staff, it’s very possible that the builds shown were a vertical slice that was running 60fps on Xbox Series X but due to a gamebreaking bug or stability issue in the game as a whole, the decision was made to delay that element.
Ultimately, MS could specify what the titles are running on at the time of demo, but anyone who’s been following gaming for as long as I have knows that’s not going to stop the complaints or the downgrades we see from competitors… **because that’s how vertical slices work (see Ubisoft with Watch Dogs infamously, CDPR with Witcher 3, Sony with - Killzone, GoT, and more examples than I can count).

Yes, that term maybe wasn´t the most appropriate. The thing is that in the Twitter thread he gives more reasons: previews/trailers of games running on PC, stock problems, long-requested consoles features never coming, to name but a few.

Im not talking about early or old demos or small vertical slices. I am talking about how the recent stuff with Redfall. Over a year out I never take any of that seriously. But this close to release, you know with Nintendo and Sony that is the quality you will be mostly getting. With Xbox we have no idea, even now. Sure its mostly informed speculation at this point but seeing how third party devs almost always show PC gameplay first and foremost, Im sure this is what is happening here.
This close to release we should be able to see an Xbox game running on Xbox hardware but it doesn’t seem like we have.

So my main job blocked all game related sites which sucks and i cant get xbox era to load on my phone so im finally getting to this now that im at another job. In terms of Redfall. just delay it it till its ready for 60. Its an L no matter how you look at it especially when sony releases I believe every 1st party game with a 60 fps option. This is just another incomplete xbox launch in my opnion which really sucks. I will personally just wait for the patch but the amount of shitposting today on twitter and websites is crazy. I want xbox to do better and they are but sometimes they just step on the rake when things are going well. it sucks
and how about your average joes who are ready to play the game and doesn’t give a damn about fps as long as content and gameplay are good, which are also crucial?. you want them to get punished too?

you make a good point but I would still say release it when its ready and if 60 fps isnt there then its not ready. thats what I want but I also see your POV as well. media will be all over them for this. they already are.
