Forza Horizon Rally Adventure is live

Its thrilling

World is more of the same but now more curated, so feels adventurous

Roads are steep bumpy and unknown… Exactly what a rally adventure needs

Music is good

Best part is the new sand physics and smashable forest area

I am yet to taste the night rally with helicopter… It will definitely be the show stopper of the DLC

Forza Horizon 5

For Life

Unfortunately, I am supersceptic of why a controller needs and screen if not for an integral part of the gameplay in games, as in some past Nintendo consoles. And this is a small one.

I honestly think there are features way long overdue on Xbox controllers, like haptic feedback and gyro, so if this actually comes to fruitition and Xbox releases a controller like this, I will scratch my head for sure.

Maybe it would have those things along with the screen stuff

Personally I don’t give a damn about this haptic stuff or motion controls, it’s all gimmicky crap to me

Paddles are the only extra thing I wish all controllers would have

What the fuck, how have I never seen this absolutely amazing video? Jon’s silky smooth voice is icing on the cake!

Kudos to @Synth and @Sikamikanico, and @Proven for posting it!

They have a very large profit margins on these things.

I’d be shocked if they add a gimmicky screen but not industry standards haptics.

I’m sure it’ll be on the controllers.

I feel there’s a middle ground between gEoFf blowing air into a controller and a dead one like we have now. Who needs a screen on the controller? Who even looks at their controller whilst gaming?

Haptics and those things from the DualSense should be there though, agreed. If it wasn’t for the stupid stick placement the DS would run laps around the Series controller.

I think the PS5 controller is a bit of a mind trick. The speakers make the controller rumble feel more impactful. Take away the speakers and it’s just more subtle rumble. Also the touchpad is useless. The mic is fine, but also not something I miss having on an Xbox controller. Motion is a bit gimmicky as well. Resistant triggers are just plain annoying.

Basically I’m in the “leave my Xbox controller alone camp” lol. I did recently order a new Xbox controller for my sons Easter Basket. I paid extra for grips, haven’t tried it out yet since it’s not Easter yet. Also they should make it less noisy.

Mind trick or not, it works. The touchpad is probably useless, I haven’t used it much hah. Mic is unnecessary, agreed.

The clickety-click of the Series controller is annoying af too, hear it through my headphones even.

Battery Life, or lack of it, is a blocker too.

Do you mean it would impact battery life on Series controllers? I get days out of my batteries so there’s plenty of room.

The DS does suck in the battery life department though, I bought two and a charging station right out of the gate to mitigate that. They stuffed some off-brand alibaba shit in there for sure.

Im saying the battery life of the DS keeps it from running laps around the Series controllers. It probably wouldnt even last a full lap.

I have no idea why Sony continues to be so bad with engineering on that aspect of their controllers.

I’m hopig someone makes an officially licensed Xbox controller with back pedals and HAL sensors and and at least 20 hours play time. They would instantly get my money.

Hm yeah, that is up there with the stupid placement of the sticks. That can’t be solved though

I hope Xbox just puts out a new version of the controller with all the good stuff, and a new Elite to go with that.

Has anyone ever done a poll of Xbox gamers? I don’t think everyone is in agreement about adding PlayStation gimmicks to the Xbox controller. I’d be curious to know the split.

I saw Hi Fi Rush trending a bit earlier on Twitter. It’s great seeing how much love this game has gotten ( with the exception of professional grifters like Red Dragon) in many posts , especially from people who don’t really talk about xbox games like that. Lots of cool fan art and things like that. Good seeing a first party Xbox game getting that kind of attention again.

Agreed, it’s a fantastic game. Anyone have an idea if a physical release is on the table?

As long they’re in a new controller or the Elite 3 and they leave the current controller alone I more than welcome this.

Bethesda have done physical releases for even more niche stuff like Doom 64 iirc so i’d say it has a good chance
