XboxEra Community Hangout |OT| Safe Space no longer required (Part 1)

Not worth it to keep it in check for security reasons and the production of those consoles are discontinued.

Wow, that really sucks. I guess not having those platforms be BC with PS4/5 makes it harder to justify operating, but it still sucks.

Just another reason why MS’s approach is simply leagues better. One of my favorite parts of the week is checking to see which 360 games are on sale and then buying the ones I don’t already own. But even for games that aren’t BC, it’s nice to turn on my 360 and still be able to buy games. I actually did this recently and bought a few games you can only get through the 360.

Ah so nothing works on the newer consoles?

agree.

Some Vita games have crossbuy with PS4 games like Undertale. But I would imagine they will sooner or later put all of those games in PS Now.

Ah that makes sense.

There are still games that you can only buy through those stores. This is a horrid move.

Those physical prices about to skyrocket.

Sony pushed for it by banning digital game sales since August 2020. A lot of games are removed as well like Danganronpa on Vita.

I expect they will pull these games also from PS Now. Jim Ryan will personally bury every single Cell processor still existing.

That sucks, but that also means my PS3 games will skyrocket on price and I’ll finally be able to sell them. They are worth nothing at the moment lol Even some gems like Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.

Maybe Sony will push the games on PS Now or something. Then again - whatever it does - its community will applaud it anyway.

This game is perfect for gamepass.

I do…that’s why it didn’t come out in fall 2019, or early this year. Next fall is likely a lot later than it was oroginally on track for, given how long that games has been in the works. And that would be due to covid

Yup, I think a 2021 release for both Starfield and Forza Horizon 5 IS Covid-adjusted.

Id rather it take the shine this year than 2022

2022 is looking crazy packed

Ive been playing through Division 2 and despite being relatively fun, my goodness is the game so monotone mission wise. Everything plays out the same.

Id wish there were a bit more variety and options on how to tackle missions. Part of what I liked about Wildlands for example was how you could go in guns blazing or take a more tactical approach to an objective.

More bad news on computer chips today. We all want games this year but thinking rationally there’s no point releasing next gen exclusives until you are able to guarantee that someone can go buy your new console to play them. It’s just going to piss people off.

I’m desperate for Starfield but from a business sense it should be released next spring.

It would be a perfect chance for MS to shine with XCloud but well…it also relies on chips.

Starfield will and always will have been sold disproportionately more on PC anyway, but it definitely sucks that this year will be universally bad for next-gen consoles lol. But to begin with, are we even 100% sure Starfield isn’t cross-gen?
