Hope so!
Life is Strange 3 for sure. Thereās no way that game is selling well at $60.
Maybe because of the level design? I find 2 much more linear than 1 and gaming has really cycled back into open world in a big way. So levels like Assault on the Control Room, Halo or The Silent Cartographer feel oddly modern compared to a level like Outskirts.
Too much smoke (IMO) for something to not be landing this holiday alongside Halo.
We should keep in mind MS would have been planning for a game this fall since Halo would have released last year. And while dropping Starfield at the same time might seem odd, until the final regulatory approvals for Bethesda were done they basically had to operate as if it wasnāt going to happen. Basically Bethesda couldnāt/shouldnāt have been planning around the Xbox release calendar.
I donāt really see there being an issue with not spacing them out. All three games should be long, thereās lots of different genres for different tastes and Game Pass means they wonāt be competing for scarce dollars. So why not make huge waves by basically dropping three massive games on the service over a month or two? So long as they have stuff for 2022 as well a packed holiday 2021 can just be a big āweāre backā statement for Xbox? After all whatās more Xbox then Halo, Forza and a great WRPG.
I dont see why xbox canāt release flight sim Forza starfield halo right after eachother. in 2020 Sony released 6 exclusives with 2 big ones pretty close in last of us and ghosts. I just wish xbox didnāt put all its release at the back end of the year
My thoughts as well. Halo is not the big launch for this year, never was planned that way. Also who said that they would launch only one big exclusive this year? Feels really lame compared to anything else, they have things prepared and Iām here for it.
Back 4 Blood and Scarlet Nexus
I could understand one big holiday game⦠Itās a crappy time to launch games anyway IMO since third party annual franchises suck all the air out of the room for anyone but the biggest hitters.
But neither Halo or Forza have that issue. Iām more interested in Q1/2 2022 actually. I donāt expect it to be as empty as this one was. Itās probably too early for Everwild but that definitely feels like a Q1/2 title for some year. Personally, I love debuting new franchises or reboots in the first half of the year. Way more breathing room so I feel like they get a better shot from the market in general.
BF6, Scarlet Nexus and Scorn.
Honestly Back 4 Blood, Scarlet Nexus, Life is Strange 3 and Nier Replicant wouldnāt be a surprise
Itās confirmed a day one GP release
Iām sure 2022 is going to be PACKED. But things will start rolling at the end of this year.
I agree. 2022 will be one of the greatest years in gaming of all time due to all the delays.
Wish I had time for all these games lol.
Haha. True.
Man I would gobble the hell out of Valheim if it was on console.
Itās definitely going to be a game which gets ātimed exclusivity support packageā to port to console. Hopefully Xbox gets to it first / offers more than especially as they missed out on Fall Guys.
I also feel like a co-op type game like Valheim draws more people into games pass AND Coffee Stain must be eying up Games Pass as a safe place to test the waters on console.
Both COVID-19 Vaccine shots scheduled to be received before Black Widow comes out.
LETS. FUCKING. GO.
Well COVID could explain why starfield if out holiday 2021 would be BGSās longest developed game ever.
Ya Microsoft 1-3 years ago must of had a big game or 2 planned for 2021. They couldnāt have accounted for anything from Bethesda and infinite was supposed to be a 2020 game.
So unless there was delays Iām assuming that Xbox studios will have one big game outside halo(probably forza horizon) and a big game from Xbox publishing.
IMO, Halo and Starfield are not necessarily going after the same audience, yes there will be some overlap, but there will be a whole lot of people who for whom it will be one or the other. Both games together even if released relatively close together will bring so many folks to Game Pass.
