XboxEra Community Hangout |OT| Safe Space no longer required (Part 1)

Reckon you might have read a little too much into my figure of speech.

I don’t think people would actually question one’s sanity for not subscribing to a gaming service.

It was another way of saying “it’s so good you’d be crazy not to have it”

Which is just another way of saying, it’s great value.

No need to take it to heart mate. Especially given my post was aimed at…literally no one.

Haha, although I did believe you specifically were using it figuratively, I’ve seen some people here do talk about it unironically saying if you don’t have or want gamepass, MS doesn’t want you in the ecosystem, which I not only think is a bit toxic but also simply wrong.

Do I remember reading something about Avengers not having some performance modes compared to PS5? Is that still a thing? I know these modes just came out on PS, but I don’t know if I’ve made this up or it was an actual thing

Edit: also, does anyone know if Prey: Mooncrash has gotten boosted by Frame Rate Boost? I’m not sure if DLC’s are effected by it (unless it’s a stand-alone expansion?)

The graphics here is on another level!

By now, Forspoken is the best looking game so far <3

Pretty indeed, going to play best on Xbox™.

by the time Forspoken comes out on Xbox, it’ll be 2024 and stuff like Hellblade 2 and Fable will have released and look beyond anything seen before.

In Game Pass :grinning: Though it looks like FFXV so…

That’s not the way your post read to me but ok, I’ll take your word for it & accept that I read it wrong.

Still, I wasn’t only talking about your post. I was talking about every post that reads along those lines. There’s quite a lot of it going around at the moment. A fair few people are talking that way & I don’t think it’s the right angle. As I said, it’s easy enough to simply point out all the cool games on the service & say “That’s great value. I’d highly recommend giving it a chance, you might love it.”

I know this is getting dangerously close to tone policing though, so I won’t bang on about it endlessly. I’ve said my piece for now.

Oh I’m sure Xbox will have insane games with incredible graphics by then, but I was just joking a little about how it might take advantage of gamepass and the better hardware and it’s features.

It looks good, but the best looking game so far? Nah, I have to disagree.

I wasn’t impressed with it. I watched it live and it looked like FF.

Game Pass was such a smart initiative. Halo Infinite is gonna do crazy numbers !

For some reason, when I saw Forspoken it reminded me of Dragons Dogma, and also reminded me that Dragons Dogma 2 is on its way.

In resume, Forspoken hypes me up for Dragons Dogma 2

It looked pretty good but not “best visuals yet” good. I’d argue FFXV already looked this good and it’s the same engine I think.

Think you quoted the wrong person

But yeah, Forspoken looks ok I guess. Nothing special, in my opinion. Nice graphics but that doesn’t really do much for me at this point. We’ve had so many games with incredible graphics by now.

I think you just gotta look at it as Game Pass being Microsoft’s opportunity to grow the market this gen and people are extremely excited about it when they make good moves.

People using hyperbolic language is going to happen, it isnt an attack on anyone. Peoples gaming habits vary and nobody can say what makes sense for someone else.

The game itself still looks very empty and not half finished to be honest. Graphics are nice but for me on par with other recent FF titles

I see no problem with it. If Playstation is allowed to make a video to mock Xbox DRM fiasco Aaron can do the same thing with smart delivery.
