Well said.
As with Xbox lacking of global perspective and focus, the dismal amount of first party titles that cater to the whole family is quite baffling considering the talk about being for everyone.
I only own one console each generation, and Xbox has become my preferd choice. But my do the need to steep up in certain areas.
They need more for sure, but letâs not ignore Xbox has the biggest family friendly game in the world: Minecraft. Add Minecraft Dungeons and Sea of Thieves to that. AFAIK Xbox is also the only console with Roblox?
Must admit that im surprised People Can Fly will be making a few minor changes to the Outriders demo and have already detailed what will be in the day one patch. Hoping they cut down the blood splatter on screen at some point.
I would say nope. The first hour was for new games and trailers. After that one hour deep dives. No new trailer Bright Memory in the first hour and no Playism in the deep dive schedule.
I wouldnât read too much into that, as Sony obviously has the marketing rights and havenât touted it as console exclusive like they did with other games from that PS5 event it got announced at.
True. But at this point nothing would surprise my anymore.
I will wait and see anyway about how significant the improvement for the game will be. Judging by what Rockstar says about remasters it sounds like it wonât only be a 4K coat and call it a day. Could be some other significant improvements planned.
If it was me, I would go straight to Take Two Interactive with a literal blank check and say for Grand Theft Auto VI to be fully exclusive to Xbox Series X/S (no other consoles or PC), fill in the amount. Whatever they want plus a percentage of the sales, I would do it in a heartbeat because itâs literally the only game that could create a paradigm shift in the industry.
Of course, you are right about that. But still, looking at the majority of game studios MS has acquired the last couple of years, as well as the ip that are left dormant.
I also do not buy the âit does not sellâ argument as I âmatter of factâ narrative, which floats around. Perhaps that is the truth right now, but that is because xbox cultivated certain genres and narratives to thrive on the platform.
It will probably take a lot of money and commercially failed projects to establish a more diverse consumer base, but I think they will gain from it in the long run.
Excuse me if I sound really negative, I do enjoy my xbox. On the wholeI think the diversity in regards to games and genres is better now than possible ever on the platform.
