Yep I’m interested in it despite having the original versions of the trilogy I’m holding out till reviews because it’s EA

I was really hoping for Overwatch 2 this year … wit over 1000 hours on Overwatch I still play it. Its my go to game for multiplayer for me and my friends.

Halo Infinite should keep me this year.

I have a EB games first card of $240, trying to get a Series X through EB games as been impossible. Been to stores (Approx 10 times now), they take my number and say they will call me but nothing happens :frowning:

It has never been this hard to buy a console before (I am aware of stock and production issues)

I’m 50/50 but it’s releasing a week after Resident Evil VIII which is a day one guarantee for me. Depending on what else releases afterwards, I may pick it up or I may just wait until Spring/Summer 2022 for when EA adds it to EA Play and just play it that way.

Daily Smart Delivery appreciation post.

The fact that the games just download an update and I can continue playing right where I left instead of going to the store and downloading a whole new game and having to start over is often understated

What would you guys say was the biggest delay in impact from last year mine was halo infinite obviously as it was the big launch title but after the cyberpunk mess I’m a lot more thankful it was its a blessing in disguise as 343i gets the time to fully realize their vision

Halo infinite, easily. Cyberpunk delay turned out to be pretty much useless lmfao, but I personally wasn’t at the brunt of how bad it was as I played it on pc with very few issues, but indeed, halo dodged a MF bullet not launching in the state it looked and seemed.

Yep after the new info 343i gave us since the delay gives me more confidence it will be worth it can’t wait to explore the most ambitious halo campaign

Yeah, Halo. I was so mad when they delayed it, but I realize now it was a blessing in disguise. I do think the Series X launch pre-Hitman and Medium was kinda rough but as it stands, I love the system as a back compat box. Having no new Halo stung a bit, but after the letdown that was Cyberpunk IMO, I’m fine waiting the extra year.

Not having to start over is great, however for disc based purchases, it’s not just an update. For example, Watch Dogs Legion was just under 40GB and when I downloaded the update, it was just under 40GB and afterwards the total was still under 40GB meaning that if you’re downloading an update for the Series X version that’s originally from the disc, the patch is actually the full next gen version being downloaded and overwriting the Xbox One version of the game.

With digital games, this doesn’t apply and while I have only been able to test out Watch Dogs Legion since that’s the only game I have purchased on disc thus far, I will be testing this again with Resident Evil VIII since I am 100% buying it on disc.

Technically, Cyberpunk 2077 still released in 2020 so it didn’t get delayed to 2021. You mean games that were originally scheduled for 2020 and then delayed to 2021, right?

If so, then yeah, it’s definitely Halo Infinite. I’m just hoping for an excellent single player campaign with Ray Tracing and 60FPS at launch. And of course, the visuals being what they should be.

I mean in general really

Ok firstly it’s not “censorship” in the sense of an outside force putting unnecessary pressure on them & demanding action, it’s BioWare themselves realising they did a silly thing & deciding to change it.

Second, why does it matter how many times it was done? That doesn’t matter at all. They also famously gave Edi camel toe in one scene in part 3. Which was also cringe worthy & has hopefully been removed. It was just in the one scene but so what, it was a stupid, childish thing to do & hopefully they get that now.

Finally, there’s a difference between a sex scene & the camera, for no reason at all, leering all over a character’s body like a horny teenager who just discovered sexual urges. Miranda still has a hot body. We can still play the trilogy as Shepard the sex machine, who bangs their way across the galaxy. Basically, there’s a difference between pointless sexualisation & sex.

There’s no nasty censorship here. Nobody’s making a big deal of this & attacking BioWare, forcing them to do anything against their will. They on their own initiative are simply being sensible adults, looking at some silly, childish things that they did years ago & making a few small changes to these games for re-release.

This is a big nothing burger, unless you choose to make it something. I wouldn’t. I’d just accept that BioWare are making some sensible changes, shrug my shoulders, move on & enjoy the masterpiece that is the Mass Effect trilogy in it’s remastered glory.

I honestly forgot it was even announced. It really does seem pointless.
