Xbox Series S was ‘Black Friday’s most popular console’, it’s claimed - VGC

Haha, “what’s the catch?”

I’ve gotten those reactions too  They are so used to $10 Director’s Cuts, paying for saves, $70 games etc. that Game Pass and things like Smart Delivery sounds like voodoo.

Should have said this to your friend lol.

Yup, when looking at it side by side on store displays? Most parents and kids won’t see the difference. If MS can get it down to 199 in a few years, and advertise Gamepass properly with plenty of family games? That thing will sell even faster than the Series X has any hope of achieving.

Yes, I know people dispute the 199 number, but in 3 years it’ll be part of the plan to get a subscription into every home! :P. Maybe 299 with a year of Gamepass thrown in. It all depends on how aggressive MS wants to be.

When? Because that ain’t happening anytime soon when there’s stock shortages.

Ms don’t need to drop the price of s whatsoever. If anything they release a 1TB version but at 350.

It is different in the fact that there’s major loyalty and bias towards Sony like most European countries. It’s not about the games they play.

Special edition Xbox for every Bethesda game that releases. Problem solved.

I don’t think there’s major bias in the U.K. toward Sony. I think it’s fairly balanced. Sony bias didn’t stop people buying the 360

The first price $50 price cut usually come after 2 years for new consoles. If Sony drops PS5 to $450 and PS5 digital to $350. Then the XSX will be $450 and XSS will be $250.

If Sony doesn’t drop the price then yeah I can see MS keeping XSS at $300.

If you hate discs, Microsoft has a system for you, it’s called Series S.

A $399 Digital Series X doesnt make sense for MS at this time

The removal of a disc drive doesn’t save them the $100 decrease so theyd be losing even more money on each console, plus the vast majority of people on Series X are already buying digital, they are already on board with digital so losing the disc drive and eating an even bigger loss is pointless

There’s a reason Sony are selling barely any of the digital ps5’s, it was always used for the $399 figure to make it look more appealing, they never had any intention of selling it in mass because it’s losing them money

Plus they cant even keep Series X’s in stock and who knows when thats going to get any better, maybe a year or two from now when they are making better money on each console sold and stock is better it will make more sense

I got mine at launch. It’s an amazing system.

Everyone online wants to hate, but while they are hating I’m too busy playing FH5, Halo Infinite, and the huge library of gamepass titles.

It’s light years better of an experience than last gen too.

Mainland Europe I’m talking about. Countries where all you see is champions league adverts on the grounds and playstation

The series s isn’t a digital x. And I don’t think ms should release a digital x. Keep the damn drive. I hate all digital systems.
