Moved Velvet under Compulsion games.

I will wait until after the TGA’s to update the accurate numbers list.

Does that suggest Compulsions game could be releasing in 2022 or early 2023?

Midnight must be further along than we thought, though I expect this new game is really early. Midnight must be in full production at least.

Compulsion going the Ninja Theory/Obsidian/Double Fine model of experimental indies to supplement AAA games wouldn’t shock me in the least. Good for the devs, good for testing new ideas, good for Game Pass, limited financial constraint with large potential overhead (see Grounded). Win-Win-Win-Win.

I think its easier due to the changing nature of this main post to changed the numbered order to simply bullets so I dont gotta be changing them every week.

Okay if Velvet is the internal second game by Compulsion, then Vonaget is XGSP.

So if Vonaget is XGSP and it is Shadowrun, who the hell is making it?

My money is on Eidos Montreal.

Please yes.

Could be Harebrained Schemes again (through a deal with Paradox), but this time for Xbox.

Especially if Guardians bombed, which I presume it did.

I could totally see Square ‘renting’ their devs to other pubs if they don’t make enough money for them with games lmao

If true, Square Enix REALLY doesn’t know what to do with its western branch, lol.

Square just wants money and ROI and those studios don’t provide enough given how much they cost, the studios are big and their games are Western AAA (with mainstream IP licences now) which is expensive. People want to blame Square and put them in a villainous light but that’s just business reality lol.

Not villainous light, incompetent is the right word. XD

let’s go let it rain games

Going to be honest I fail to see the Eidos-Shadowrun link lol.

There’s no link per se, but there is a precedent with Square studio Crystal Dynamics now…

I think CD only had staff available because Avengers support plans got cut.
